I used to go to the pawnie auctions in Glasgow and believe me they were mega.

Nice Rolex for ÂĢ900 - they had the lot. Pear shaped yellow solitaire for ÂĢ7k in @2002 must be worth a fortune now.

They've cottoned on with gold values though and seem to have been disappeared. Great days they were

Plenty bought and sold from Central Car Auctions at Easterhouse though - with no probs and cuts out the middle man

Yep, knew it was close to you Velvet...it was a great day out. Apart from one day my ex bought me a cavalier and didn't hear the auctioneer saying it was a non runner  Luckily they put it back through...no wonder we divorced, the clue would be the two men pushing it in

The Scooby was the last I put through. One owner original mk1 2000 turbo. 70 odd thousand, for ÂĢ900 odd. Rotten underneath but a gem in it's day

I'm sure I've been there Velvet..is that nearer the city. We used to go to Shotts and have a look around and onto another one..and then back to Shotts if anything had caught our eye
