I've being so well recently but my cookers not working
It's a gas cooker and the ovens working but not the rings, there's no gas coming to light, anyone have any ideas what's wrong with it?

No, but if it's a gas one I would get someone to check it out Aimee ....you can't be too careful with gas IMO
I am a bit worried about it
Aimee call the gas free phone number ,to dangerous to ignore .

I've spoke to a friend of the family that is a retired gas engineer and he couldn't work it out but then he said have you got a lid that when down turns the gas off and I said yes and I don't normally have it down but I did yesterday as I was decorating the kitchen, so he thinks it's the valve on the lid that's stuck and no gas can escape, I've just got to find the valve now

The curse of Aimee strikes again

I swear that was the question I was going to ask as lids hit a valve that turns of gas to the rings and it sounds like it has got stuck.. check the junction where the lid brackets go into the top of the cooker. .lift it up and down a few times and it may dislodge the stuck valve..
I am clever me
Also try getting a vacuum nozzle near the junction as bits and bobs can fall into the hinged part.. which may also be what has made the valve stick in the off position too
All sorted it's took me and a friend half an hour to sort it, the valve wasn't stuck and we couldn't work it out but then I looked behind the cooker and there was a button which sits on top of the valve that pushes it down when the lid hits it, trying to get it back on was a nightmare as its under the hinge of the lid, at least it's not broke

How the hell it fell off in the first place is a mystery as it took two of us to guide it back on under the hinge
Good news Aimee

It may have been working it's way off for a while and the last time you closed the lid the hinged part finally pushed it off
Glad it's working again for you..
Thanks Olly, couldn't afforded a new one
