They were incapable idiots.
It's a great format played right.
Yesterday Endemol Shine were granted planning permission from the local council to continue with the Big Brother house for another 3 years until 2021. As part of the planning application they obtained permission to stage 32 eviction shows a year alongside occasional corporate events.
Perfect opportunity for someone else to take it over, start again and get it back to being the great format it used to be before channel 5 turned it into a scripted farce.
Worst kept secret since Apples recent iPhone upgrades.

As much as I would like to see one of the larger channel take the show, I doubt they would touch it now. For years the audience figures have been in decline and other shows like Love Island seem to be what the viewing public want. We have also see BB & CBB show times pushed later into the evening alienating more viewers who have to work. I have been saying it since C5 took over that the show has probably outstayed it's welcome.
The best future for me would be for Channel 4 to take it, return to the social experiment, drop all the comings and goings in the BB house, no external contact, no 'almost' celebrities or z-listers posing as general public going in, put on a live feed and main shows at a sensible time in the evening. C4 have numerous channels to put it on. But I think it's not going to happen based on what I said in my first paragraph.
That Endemol said after Ch5 decision they are excited about new possibilities for BBUK âĶ and have extended the lease on the BB house for a further three years âĶ makes me think BB will continue - and not end.
It brought us all together so it deserves to continue

Just cos Endemol is sold (and it looks like a bidding war) doesn't mean BB will survive âĶ but it is better than nothing
BB on ITV would be amazing!!!

Well letâs hope they do and decide to take B.B. on , and return it to basics ....although donât they do Love Island ?
Yes Love Island June/July then how's about BB Aug/Sept?
ITV is The Sun newspaper of TV channels. They'll make it even more TOWIE/Love Island/Chavvy as possible... if it is indeed possible to be even more chavvy than what Channel 5 did to it.

Yes indeed
I was very pleased when C5 picked it up but since then my interest has waned to almost zero. I can remember (and these are obviously hours and minutes I should have put to better use) posting endless comments and having silly arguments on the activity of housemates when BB was must see TV to be debated on line like a loony dog with a loony bone. The legend that is Aislene Horgan-Wallace was probably my BB crusade and also Steph was robbed by that ****tard Mario and his now estranged 'muscle' partner, Lisa, has really let herself go!
I recall getting heated up over the Chuck Noris meems being applied to that twat nobody Mario. Oh those were the days. Arguing online over what didn't even register with 'normal people' and shouldn't really have been on my mind!
Then there was the insufferable Makosi- god she was an idiot but she kept me watching! Wonder what she's doing now. Hope she's calmed down and succeeding in life.
I think in recent years it just doesn't seem worthwhile investing any of my time. The housemates just seem like desperate stereotypes on a mission to behave stereotypical. It's always been like that and that was fine a few times around the block but after a while it becomes a bit ho-hum. The stunningly beautiful Emma Willis is a great host and does her best to make the show entertaining and watchable but for all her efforts it's diminishing returns of a stale format.
I won't be sorry to see it go and maybe it just needs a decade out and perhaps a revamp.
