I'm hoping they have ordered the sun and hoovered up them damned midges before I get there!

ahhh.. ermm.. we may have got that back to front !

Haha!  I was just thinking that was an ever-so overly optimistic post from Rexi.  I'm sure ALL the Scottish FM's will be standing on the border awaiting to welcome you personally, Rexi

Have a great time (it's a beautiful part of the world from the little that I've seen)

Cosmopolitan

Thanks for that Slinks!!

I am really looking forward to it. We are going with friends who go to the same area three or four times a year, so they know all the places to go. Apparently I am in for some of the best food ever!!

i'm heading up your way on Thursday Fluffs. Staying overnight on the edge of a loch somewhere, then continuing to our holiday home on Friday in the daylight, so's to get the full beauty Of it.

I expect to see you all lined up on the border playing me a welcome highland fling on your bagpipes!

(Do you think comments like that will go down well next week?!)

I was just about to say the same thing.  But it will depend on which way she travels North.  If it is passing our way I'll put a flag for her along my back fence as we back on to the A1.

Have a fab time Rexi whichever way you go.

We need details Rexi! East or west? Where exactly is the overnight stay and when do you expect to be there? How far north will you be going? What is your final destination? etc. etc.

Ain't that the truth!

Loch Lomond on the way up Fluffs, then way up on the west. We are also whizzing over to Skye for a bit

Loch Lomond is gorgeous. We went and stayed at Blair Cottage for 4 nights. We had to call 20 minutes before we got there so the owner (who we found out also owned the big hotel there too) could meet us with the keys.  Dozy Bitch Cinds rang her "hello it's Mrs Cusack, we've booked Blair Witch Cottage for the weekend"
