She saw a doc yesterday. Long story short, car collision, she smacked her head, went hospital, stitches, said she was concussed. She felt okish today, just nauseous and a bit dizzy. Tonight has felt worse, then about an hour ago it all went weird. Vomiting everywhere and feeling like she was gonna cop it. Now she says she feels a bit better but is stubborn and wont go hospital unless she's strapped down. I'm a bit stumped.

Better to be on the safe side.

I hear what you're saying but I know there are some meds on here (or there used to be) who might be able to shed a sensible light on things without any major panic or blue lights (we have blue light ambulances in the UK Big Grin)

See that's what I thought, it was quite normal to feel nauseous and even vomit after a head injury. Hmm ok I'll try and talk to her again.

Thanks everyone xx

Karma, if she's not the type to be histrionic or prone to exaggeration, would she agree to you calling on her behalf? I mean NHS Direct/24, depending where in the UK she is. Concussion can impair cognition, she's maybe in no fit state to decide what to do?

Is there anyone else at home with her?

Any responsible med is going to tell you to contact or see a medical professional who can interact with and see the patient.

No she's not exaggerating, if anything she's trying to play it down (she hates hospitals and all that malarky) She's not alone at home either so that's ok. I'll go and see if I can do anything.

In this case I would seriously suggest a 999 call and explain what is happening with your friend to the person who answers the call. Let them be the judge of what is the right thing to do. They may well send out a first responder.
