And how do the Germans feel comfortable with family nudity, and even more so insist on sharing with all and sundry on a packed beach?
You will find that the Germans on this side are also quite astounded at their ex-eastern neighbours. I was also a little surprised on my first visit to one of the Baltic sea-side resorts. The wessies are quite happy going topless but I think the only parts of the ossie ladies I didn't see were the ovaries.

For every exhibitionist that loves to flaunt, there is an introverted, or at least shy and modest person, who wishes for privacy.
But you can get changed in a communal changing room discretely without being an exhibitionist or flaunting yourself!   I would prefer to have a cubicle to myself given the choice, but I really can't understand why anyone would be particularly bothered by having to use a communal changing room if it was a single sex one.  I would be less happy using a unisex changing room.

Is there even a token 2 or 3 cubicles Saz? Most places these days are 90% communal **shudders** but do have a few places us shy folks can hide in.

Personally I think it all stems back to those hideous communal showers in school. There were always a handful of fully developed girls at 12 who'd had periods from about 9 or 10 flaunting it about while the rest of us tried desperately to hide the fact we were stuck in some prepubescent timewarp!

I remember the dreaded showers!  Except at my school the ones who were embarrassed and trying to hide themselves were the more developed girls.
