Me too.
I would have to do some damage to something if duplicitous Unfunny Charlie won - probably myself.

Essentially, yes. However note that specific bookies may have the HMs in a different order. For example: as I write this, Betfair has both Freddie and Siavash as joint-favourites at 4/1 (if not shown, the "/1" bit is implicit.)

The easiest way of thinking about the odds is as fractions, and the smaller the fraction, the more likely that HM is to win.
So, Betfair has Charlie at 43/10, which is 4 & 3/10ths, and Sophie at 24/5, which is 4 & 4/5ths (or 4 & 8/10ths), so you can see that they would be placed 2nd and 3rd respectively behind Freddie and Siavash...

You've made my brain hurt, for instance Charlies odds, do I need to place £43 on Charlie to win £10? Told you I was thick. Confused

No, it's the other way around. Charlie's at 43/10 on Betfair, so if you bet £10, you'd win £43 (and you'd also get your £10 back).

As I said earlier, Freddie's odds of "4" are actually 4/1, so for every £1 you bet, you'd win £4. Or to compare with Charlie: if you bet £10, you'd win £40.
