I remember in primary school great rivalry between fans of different groups about getting to number one, I think the 1972 battle between David Cassidy & T.Rex made the Manchester derby look like a teddy bears picnic. And we were only about 9 years old.

I never liked David Cassidy, too poncy imo.

My first every concert,  my Mum dragged me and my sister up to Wembley, The screamming scared the s*it out of me, It was like jumbo jet taking off, (but that's my Mum for ya)

It went on for 3 hours, never heard him sing once,
