Wales had already failed to qualify, but we lost our last game as well. On hearing this, the entire pubful of Londoners stood up and cheered. Does this mean all of England are arseholes? No - just the people in that particular pub.
I always support Wales and Scotland in international football. I can't get my head around English people who don't. We're all British ffs.

I can't take much more. I have a theory if I am not in the room they will do better. So I am going to potter in the kitchen whilst OH has a nervous breakdown all on his own
I DO NOT BELIEVE it  Isadora it but I'm the same......I'm watching and alternatively moseying around the garden and in the study to come on here. I've drank half a bottle of white wine and my nerves are in tatters

why come on to an English thread
WTF?? Wishes England well (from a true blue Scot) but leaves sharpish, because not allowed in here apparently!

Thats hardly fair - all I said was if you cannot wish England well, why come to an English thread and be rude? Everyone is welcome . Tensions were running high at that moment, Now I think we are all reconcilled.

I am sorry if you think i meant otherwise. And thank you for wishing us well - not that it did much good.

Capello is right, Germany's last 2 goals were from the counter attack, because we'd been pushing forward to equalise when REALLY the score should already have been 2-2.

Would Germany have got us on the counter attack twice if the score had been 2-2? Answer, no because we wouldn't have been committing so many men forward to try and equalise.

That referee should never officiate a game again after today. Lawrenson can spout off all the 'if he didn't see it he can't give it' bollocks all he wants, but facts are if a ref or his assistant can't see something as clear as that with an unobstructed view, they shouldn't be refereeing at that level.

Oh come on Crunchy.
I think Crunchy does have a valid point fairfax, had we been level we wouldnt have had Ashley Cole or Gareth Barry (the slowest player on the pitch) having to hold back alone. It got desperate and we just bombed everyone forward... we don't know what would of happened had the goal been given, I think it would really of motivated the team, for upson to score and then for us to bag another in just a min after confidence would be soaring.
