Aww Pengy, you are a brave wee soldier and we do appreciate your effort.

Have you got some meds/cream for the eczema?

I've got antibiotic cream for it because I'm a martyr to it but I cant' get an appointment at the GP till next week and I could really do with antibiotics because my legs are starting to get infected and my groin is sore which means the infection is spreading    I shall soldier on though

Ouch, that must be so painful. Could you maybe ask to speak to a GP, if they can't give you a proper appointment, then they could prescribe something for you to pick up?

PAH!!!!  You ring for an appointment when the surgery opens at 8am if you cant' get one you phone back the next day.  Bookable appointments are 4 weeks in advance which is what my one next week is   if you're really ill they won't do home visits but you can present yourself at the drop-in centre in the local high street.  There you usually get to see the nurse but not generally a doctor.  If it sets my lymphodema off, I might just phone an ambulance   but at this stage it's all ifs and buts

I like this guys house and his meal looked OK - bog standard Sunday roast

ours has just joined 4 local practices into one big 'company' and no they don't do emergency appointments hence why the drop-in centre was opened   mind you the last time they refused to visit me at home I threatened to sue so may be I'll try that again

Mine has emergency appointments and they still do home visits, too. They also do telephone appointments - for people like Pengy and I, who have chronic conditions which have already been diagnosed, and therefore can be prescribed something over the phone.
