I went to the doc because it was sore for over 6 weeks .I know it can take that time if you have injured it etc.However the doc checked for tendonitis,and RSI.Then said given my age 99% sure it's arthritis.He said strangely enough that's where it can start in the thumbs,my right hand is perfectly ok...so far.I have a gel to rub on it.

My niece's fiance has arthritis in his knees and he's only 25,he's a joiner/builder so that doesn't help,it's in his family his aunt has it badly in her hands and she's only early forties.
