I couldn't after having them as pets,they are such a loving  social animal  to each other if you have a bonded pair as I did.I can see folk maybe eating game rabbits shot in the wild.However they have rabbit farms where they breed and keep New Zealand giants (large white rabbits).the conditions are usually horrible,poor things kept in tiny cages with their poor big feet on wire mesh. I won't post the horrible links .however they are out there to see.
