I'm all for gadgets if you use them to make life simpler and to speed up things but not as a status symbol 

 

I'd deduct marks off for the waitresses - I'd be suspicious of her not having made the meal 

I think it should be a level playing field - so help of any kind, shouldn't be allowed.

I think she's going to be very harsh on the other three contestants because they've been critical of her meal and they haven't even marked it yet

  I'd agree that Ray is like that and I think tractor lady is as well.  The guy with the glasses says one thing to your face then another when the camera is rolling.  The music guy tells it like it is but he's bordering on rude - I hope they all produce horrible meals 

The fruit/ice bowls is a nice idea.
