that's an age old trick. I have a security camera up at the front of my house - when they try the 'there wasn't anyone home trick' I always reply with a 'but I was in and I have checked my security tape to make sure I haven't missed anyone,'

I initially had it because of my crappy neighbours but now it's pointed to the door and when the door knocks, I can see on the telly if I want to answer it or not
