I really don't understand the metal bowls, they make for very awkward eating. Getting the cutlery in is so difficult.
He may think it's fashionable or trendy, but impractical.
Hi EC and Baz.
They seem a nicer bunch today though
Yes, no real nasties - so far.
I love black pudding .....and hotpot is ok , but hardly fine dining
I like black pudding but even saying the word 'hotpot' makes me shudder. We had it at primary school dinners and it was revolting, with loads of hard peas in it.

I have no idea about the laptop.
North/South divide.
Starter seems to have gone ok ....but I wish she would stop banging on about the north ....a) it's not totally true , and b) they perpetuate the north /south divide !!!

I agree.
Hi all
I got sidetracked by an email and a bit of reading!
I made mushy peas on Sunday.
North/South divide.
Snap I never even knew there was one until I came to live up here ....and although it might be controversial ....I think it is something perpetuated by northerners
SWINGER!!

I think so too.
My sons noticed it when they used to go abroad on lads holidays. The northern lads used to hang about with the Scottish lads, rather than the southern lads.

Change the oil mate
I bet he buys the meatballs from Ikea.
Did he change the oil before frying the banana, or is he using oil he has previously cooked cod in?

I think the South tends to be more cosmopolitan ( as in people tend to move around more , and come from all over) , so nobody notices ..if that makes sense .....I know I got a real shock at the attitude to southerners ( aka me ) when I moved up here 30 years ago
