I like black pudding but even saying the word 'hotpot' makes me shudder. We had it at primary school dinners and it was revolting, with loads of hard peas in it.

There's an East/West thing too. 

I think the South tends to be more cosmopolitan ( as in people tend to move around more , and come from all over) , so nobody notices ..if that makes sense .....I know I got a real shock at the attitude to southerners ( aka me ) when I moved up here 30 years ago
