Wait until he's had her a while and she starts playing up with him, you might see a change of attitude then.

so she needs financial support through college but it's a bit of a cheek her father asking for money so soon - if she stays there permanently I could understand the request for a contribution but to ask so soon seems greedy to me - has he always supported her financially?

I hope so, but his money demands are driving me nuts..as his princely contribution is ÂĢ75 a month...and I said if she's there a month he can have it , but he wont stop phoning...and Ive said I need to speak to her first to see if thats what she really wants....as at the moment she is punishing me for putting my foot down over her dreadful behaviour. I could do with a break.

The CSA rang me because he made a claim on day 4..and it would have been sooner but for the Bank Holiday! They agreed it was premature.

If he won't stop phoning, give him it pro rata - so give him ÂĢ18.50 each week and let him see how far that goes!

wait until she's there a month and then discuss payment - seems to me she's a burden on him financially if after a week and a half he's moaning about needing money   would it be worth getting CSA involved?

Stupid man ! I remember when we moved up here ....my son , who was 12 decided he wanted to stay with his dad....down South ....as you can imagine I was in bits when he came to pick him up .....but two minutes after closing the door , with tears streaming down my  face ...there was a knock....his father had come back for the bliddy family allowance book !!!! Mind you , two years later he brought him back ....cos he couldn't handle him !

it will depend on how much you earn compared to him - you could find if they (CSA) get involved he won't get as much as he's asking for.

He sounds like a greedy barsteward!!!
