Amythist  hopefully things will calm down and you can have a proper talk with her.  I'm sure things were said in the heat of the moment but hopefully she'll realise how she's spoken to you and you can both get over it.

I totally agree .. Both of mine gave me no end of grief ...and I shed buckets of tears over them....but now they are respectable 40 year olds ....with teenagers of their own

Do you secretly smile when they moan about their teenagers?

You better believe it !

Thanks for your replies, let me tell you that yesterday I went to her friends house with a bag of clothes that she had requested and left. As i was walking back to my car she ran after me screaming and shouting the most awful abuse at me and refused to let me walk away so the whole village stopped to watch her calling me the most terrible things you can imagine...it was so shocking that I shook for hours after.

Awwww I know it probably doesn't feel like it Amythist....and I know it doesn't help much......but that is not so unusual with teenagers I had similar with mine ...if not worse .....and my daughter had the same with my granddaughter a couple of years ago . Hang in there , it's a rough rIDE , but as Yogi says , most of them turn out ok in the end

That must have been horrible for you, but remember most of those villagers will have experienced screaming, ranting teenagers at some point and will sympathise with you.

Oh Amythist , how awful for you

She'll be back when she realises what she's missed. I only have one girl and she's been a nightmare but thankfully she's through the worse now.... i hope.
