O/T How is Mr B's uncle?

Hi Yogi & Baz.

I may make the odd programme (work permitting).

Although I plan to do some shopping after work one day this week.

He came home Friday Yogi....with a care package . He has carers morning and evening , plus meals on wheels for lunch and tea ...and the district nurse goes in daily . Whether it will be enough and he can cope only time will tell ....

I guess it is difficult to accept that you need to go into a nursing home, and he is trying to postpone the day for as long as possible. I hope the care package works for him.

Yes, that's it exactly . He seems reasonably happy with the package at the moment , but not sure how he will take it once he has to start paying for it ..* looks out for EC .....he's a Yorkshireman !! Still , it's free for the first 6 weeks .....

very hard to give up your independence - hope it works out for him but be prepared for a move to a home 

Hi Pengy TBH, under the circumstances,  we would all have been  happier to see him going into a home , but he is still very mentally alert , so, initially at least , it has to be his choice . 

At least he has been given the chance to try out the care package. If it doesn't work out, he might feel less resentful at having to go into a nursing home.

I'm not keen on them either however, if you ever get a chance to go to a Wagamama's they do a veggie dish with deep-fried aubergines and curry and it's to die for - number 72 I think

I've got a plastic rice baller but I don't consider them Italian   The Japanese do lovely square rice thingymebobs
