BT I notice, are now doing a phone with a call zapper built in
I've got a call barring panasonic phone which will stop UK phone numbers but it won't stop overseas ones unfortunately but I've found I'm getting hardly any cold callers through these days 
mine can bar up to 30 numbers - it was on sale at Argos for about ÂĢ50 does the job and I'm pleased with it 
They are trained to ignore the first 2 no's Fluffs 
I understand it's annoying but they are just doing a job, so i try not to be rude if i dont have to.... Saying that i tend not to have the landline plugged in recently (2yr old in the house.. need i say more)
But why are you considering that? If you are genuinely not interested in what they are trying to sell you, why are you continuing to listen to them? I don't understand.
