I have been given them with suits, but most of the time they don't seem to want to give them away, especially the nicer wooden ones - cheap skate shops...

ReallY?  Aww thats horrible EC   Stingy gits! Online Asda George put hangers in even for leggings and knickers! Big stores must have stacks they don't want!

Try Tesco? I notice  they're superhelpful a.t.m. cos they need to win back the public after the horseburgers.

You are right. When they take out the hanger, they usually throw them in a big box behind the counter (full of other hangers!!).

But I think I will use Velvet's link and get 20 of those on ebay as they are the same as my current hangers. That should keep me going for a while especially after I clear out some older clothes for the charity shop.

Exactly! Gosh you must've felt mortified when they refused

Can you tell us what shops... we'll know who to avoid

It's OK NoseyR I am a bit cheeky and can take a bit of rejection. The last time was in everyone's favourite Debenhams, but I've had it in Next as well. Can't recall what happened last time I was in John Lewis or House of Fraser.

But I only tend to ask if I know I need them, so I don't ask every time I buy something.

Not surprised to hear Next. They have gone downhill i.m.o.

Last jumper of theirs I got [online]... when it arrived it was the nastiest cheapest looking material. Haven't bought from them since.
