Growly I was discussing this subject (the cost of wedding and engagement rings) yesterday evening with someone, and they were of the mindset that it shouldn't matter how much it cost, it's the fact that someone would actually choose to spend the rest of their life with you (forsaking all others and all that malarky). I think I was being hinted at not to get ideas above my station

I agreed in principal, but I do like a bit of diamond bling, and any partner of mine knows that from the get go so there is NO excuse!

And on that note now my painkillers have finally kicked in I am off to the land of nod. Adios!

I do agree in principle too Karma, but I don't really have expensive jewellery, and hardly ever wear jewellery at all in fact... So I kinda feel that because it's a special thing that, theoretically, I'd be wearing every day forever, then I can be a bit extravagant about it

I want to get some new trousers... nothing smart, just typical work/weekend wear, not really sure whats in at the minute, any ideas peeps?

oh, not those paper bag waist things... I dont think they'd suit me

remember the pink check shirt a couple of pages back? I have it in a sort of sand colour - nice and casual for spring/summer... they had it on a dummy open over a tank top, so I bought 2 tank tops too One in purple, and one grey and white horizontal stripe

I also bought a t-shirt and a hoodie for B

Honestly DiD I didn't know they were having a sale, it must have started today... I just needed food for dinner

He's gonna be annoyed Arwen, he doesn't like me buying him things

My hubby couldn't care less about clothes. He buys them from charity shops and wears all my stepdads cast offs even though he is two waist sizes bigger than my hubby

Oh and RE the wedding debate. I wasn't bothered at all about how big or expensive my engagement ring was. I got engaged at 19 so I figured my hubby wouldn't be able to afford much and to this day I still don't know how much it cost

He did however buy me a stonking diamond eternity ring after I had the little one. I think he felt sorry for me after being in the delivery room

And totally logical as well, Saz.  If you're wearing military combats, it stands to reason you need tank shoes.

and look at the little cannon, perfect for shooting people who wont get out of your way in the ankle

 Need to be careful when crossing your legs though, or you might find out what the phrase 'shooting yourself in the foot' really means.

Saz ankle boots (with heels) are big this season and go really well with the skinny combats.

I think Gladiators with a slight wedge heel would look ok? Not sure if a completely flat heel would work with the trousers, you've got proper long slim legs missus, make them a feature!

The skinny combats, some cheeky ankle boots, a white vest, a leather cropped bomber jacket, a messenger bag and your curly hair would look wicked on you Saz!

I love them! I don't know if I could get away with wearing them mind, but I think they're wicked!
