I was looking at one shoulder kaftans in RI, they must have been the same thing I really like that blue and red one *covets* Have you tried them on? I have a silk kaftan top that I got from Warehouse and didn't notice it was see through til I got it home
I have been trying them on and off all blimmin night, they both look nice, but I do know what you mean about the darker print looking more expensive....I was mostly thinking of the pink one because I have some shoes to match, but I also have shoes to match the other....I think I may take your advice on that one...thanks
They're nice, but I don't seem to be able to wear shoes from River Island... they kill my feet
That blowfish make are wide fitting, so they're great for my big fat feet

Great minds eh!!! Maybe some kind of pink flower thing for the hair? That way you can just wear silver jewellery for that little bit of bling.....I love it when an outfit starts coming together Reference:Sazbomb

I'm sure he does, good luck with that one....
How about something like this? http://www.debenhams.com/webap...%26amp%3B+hairpieces
Forgive me if its totally the wrong sort of thing, but I never buy/look for formal hats or headwear... if I was going to a wedding I wouldn't wear one

Oooo, that's nice Sazbomb....I wouldn't wear one either, it'd stay in for all of 2 minutes, but they do look lovely
This is quite pretty too: http://www.debenhams.com/webap...%26amp%3B+hairpieces

Oh bloody hell, I was going to dump all of my silver, I guess I'm usually a bit 'hippie' (first time around!) jingly jangly jewellery etc. and was thinking more 'lady watch' etc....
...or gold Supes, or even pearl as you suggested....though I;m a big fan of jingly jangly jewellery too.....I do think shocking pink is the way to go though....we must find you a handbag/ clutch...
I've looked a few places DiD but cant find anything decent

Me too, which is why I was relying on you guys! The pink fascinators are lovely but i think that they look like you've used something that you 'had in' rather than something that you bought especially for that outfit??? (Or maybe that's me being too old and too matchy?) I think I need something like this but with either a splash of colour or some pearls?.... I could take a big hat but, much as I love them, they're such a bloody nuisance. A fascinator would be no problem 'cos I have a lorra lorra hair, so i wouldn't even know it was there!
So, I know this is a tall order BUT THE MOST important thing is SHOES!!!

Oh and btw, the wedding is that of the son of one my v v v best friend's. He was one of my 2 page boys when I got married in 1985, when he was 3 Can hardly believe that the reception is at the same place I had mine...last time around he was a little boy wearing white linen trousers and shirt, a laura ashley fabric blue and white stripe cotton jacket and a boater with a blue and white stripe ribbon

or gold Supes
I'm thinking I might dig out my mum's antique gold 'lady' watch...everyday I wear a mahoosive silver watch with big hoops, (if that makes sense?) and lots of big white gold and silver jewelry..... and I had to laugh about the maxi dress query...when I'm not doing 'grownup' stuff at work or everyday slobs, I practically live in stuff like that! BUT on 3rd July I'm going to be elegant and sophisticated, (with the help of you guys?)
Thanks to the last couple of pages of this thread I have bought 2 more pairs of shoes I don't need. Thank you very much

Hi Supes,I hope I do this link right, I've ordered from Javari & received stuff the next day, it's part of Amazon and does seriously have gorg shoes.
If I've done this right I'm linking a pink clutch bag.
Edited to add I appear to have sodded it up, I can't shrink the photo, the bag is bigger than my house in this view Just click on Javari website & choose bags & accessories, pick colour, Bob's your uncle & all that jazz.

Supes, I've even buggered up the photo of the bag, it's not as tall as my photo & is wider.

Have bought my shoes and bag today Went for th e splash of colour, (green not pink in the end 'cos I loved these shoes!) Got an appointment at a posh hat place Tuesday, to bring the outfit 'together' with all three colours in the hat or fascinator...just the jewellery to go now
Ok, I have dragged this thread up from the thread graveyard....
Pick a colour for me....I need a lightweight jacket for work to see me through the next few months until I can start wearing my winter ones again....

I'm going to be awkward DiDs, I like the red wine colour! Or stick to classic black. I'm so glad trench coats have stuck around. I got a lovely cheap and cheerful one from Uniqlo in the spring.
Thanks suzy, I already have a bright red one and the winey colour is actually more pink in RL....thanks, I think I shall get black...as you say...classic colour and I can brighten myself up with a nice bright top....
Blimey, where did you find this?!
Lovely jacket I like the thyme/mint colour, but I have a feeling it might look different in RL...

I have my ways & means Saz.....took me blimmin ages, lol..It is more of a dark/ dull khaki colour Saz (almost greyish), the black is brighter in some strange way, the green is pretty dull....think I will go for the black...the easy option, black always looks smart...unless my pooch decides to sit on it!
Speaking of coats, I'm currently eyeing this
I'm gonna try it on and hope that it doesn't fit/looks crap, then I don't have to keep wanting it
Looking at something similar to this classy bag for the coming weekend *gets excited*
Liking the coat.

I do that sometimes, it's a bugger when it's a perfect fit
I might just have to give in Smart bag Light colours are no good for me though Like Carrie Bradshaw said, I'm not the sort of woman who can wear white without spilling on it
