I'm thinking of doing mine at the end of this month - i figure if its all done and dusted then i can actually enjoy December instead of running around like a headless chicken buying rubbish!!! When fo you start yours??

Oh - i am going home to Ireland for xmas aswell and Ryanair were asking for £30 to take a bag with - £30!!!! If i do all my shopping i might just wrap them all up and send it over via royal mail to my parents house so its waiting for me on xmas eve!!

I collect pressies throughout the year, so it's not too much hassle around November & December, I'm off to New York next month where I may also shop a little.

I know MM   I remember my mom and dad, getting me a typewriter the one year.....opened all my pressie's on the morning and was a little disappointed I hadn't got it, then mom laid the table out for dinner and when I sat down with all the family my typrewriter was on my placemat and they'd typed merry christmas on a peice of paper.....I love that memory

Last summer when we were out there, we got $2 to the £.  We bought so much, most of it from Abercrombie, It was the cheapest I've ever know in all my time going to the US.

I think it's WAY to early to start thinking about Christmas - it's only the beginning of October!   I never start Christmas preparations until a week or so before, with the exception of my Christmas cake, which you can't really avoid making a few weeks in advance.

My little grandson messed up the timing too. Was due on the 18th December and arrived on Christmas Day (he'll be two this year)! It was a lovely Christmas present but ...........it's not gonna be nice for him as he gets older.

Last year we did a little party on the eighteenth and I think we'll probably keep that up as a bit of a tradition ......my other grandson's birthday is January 4th. poor planning on behalf of my son and his partner I think.

I've started shopping for Christmas, but we're going on a mini cruise to Holland next month with the plan to do some Christmas shopping there, but I reckon that Mr Cinds and I will end up just getting stoned and going to some sex shows.

I have a week off in November (which reminds me must book it) so I'll do most of it then. Going to start buying little bits every shop as well. I have a mate who has all hers done and wrapped and she says she's doing her chirstmas cards at the week end.
