Awww so cute Syd   especially  that you enjoyed the excitement a little bit too. They were something to look forward to all year...

No X-box can hold the excitement of the  new Beano/ Dandy / Jackie / Bunty etc... that was the high spot for the year

Sainsburys had a great offer on Stilton ..............bought some yesterday - haven't opened it yet! It's massive - I think only me and Mr Woo like it. I will do a broccoli and stilton quiche though!

I lived next door to my Nan and Grandad when I was a kid. My grandad adored Danish Blue ...................i could never, ever understand why .................I was pretty sure that I'd never eat it. I was wrong - I love strong blue cheese now!

ohhh tricky, its hard to pinpoint what makes me feel christmassy. If i try to feel it, it eludes me. Then sometimes at the most odd times it sneaks up and gets you.  This year stressful shopping round marks and sparks gave me a little glow (they had carol singers). A stop off at the German market for mulled wine when its pouring down outside.  Delivering a ton of turkey to friends, not christmassy as it was all drop off and dash.... but there was lots of kisses and smiles and it was nice.

I love midnight mass on Christmas eve, if nothing else has got me before then, that does.... that and a shit load of baileys

Yes the "big shop" Rexi    Containing all sorts of Christmas-only-luxuries like Schloer, assorted pickles, and massive biscuit tins.
