A Muppet Christmas Carol always gets me really xmassy and it is a bit of a tradition now...

I watch every version of "A Christmas Carol" that is shown over Xmas and that can be a lot.

And a Muppets Christmas Carol, oh i love that one!

From the 1st December we shall be watching (probably back to back non stop) Polar Express, The Snowman and Father Christmas (Have a merry blooming christmas).

My grandsons love them.

I still have my 2 favourites, and for many years nothing has surpassed them in my affection.

Miracle on 34th Street (the original with Edmund Gwenn, Maureen O'Hara and Natalie Wood.)
I know they get listed a lot, but I still like them best.

Santa Claus the Movie, I might go and rent it see if it puts me in a more Christmassy mood.

Same here!  I love It's a wonderful life.

You are in for a treat then. Don't be put off by the film being in black and white, and let the magic of the film draw you in. And just because the film was made in 1946 doesn't mean that it has lost any relevance in modern times, because it is every bit as relevant now as it was then.

And at its heart is a true life-affirming message - that no matter how hopeless life may seem at times, ending it all is no answer as there is always hope.

And that communities can pull together in times of crisis - you are not alone.

The American Film Institute voted this the most inspirational film of all time 4 years ago, and I think many people would agree with that.

Aw the grinch is the best xmas film in the world ever! and a christmas carol. I was GUTTED last year when i couldnt get to the cinema to see it in 3d, it was such a shame

I love Elf, Scrooged, and A Christmas Story. All hilarious, I watch them every year.

I pretty much watch any Christmas film....they seem to be showing loads on the film channels (movies 24/24+) already but i think i saw them all last year.

I am a crimbo film freak and will watch any of them!!!


Muppets Christmas Carol is the ultimate though and a surefire way of getting in the festive mood! I have so many versions of A Christmas Carol, including the latest one and I love them all...even the musical one with Albert Finney! George C Scott was a fab Scrooge....really gotit brilliantly! Scrooged with Bill Murray is also a winner...the Ghost of Christmas Present is fabulous in it!!!


The Polar Express is wonderful and for a real festive blitz I will watch all 3 The Santa Clause movies....Tim Allen makes a great Santa...the second one is my fave...and I love the Tooth Fairy!


I could waffle on even more than I already have....I love crimbo films!!!

oooh...and don't forget Die Hard 1 & 2......both festive treats!!!

My 30 year old loves that film. I took him to see it at the pictures when he was 8.

I am watching 'Christmas Angel' on Sky Premiere...have watched it twice already this week!!!


The bloke in it (must watch credits this time and find out who he is!!) is quite cute!!!

We are just watching the Grinch. About time i bought it on dvd and threw the video's out

Scrooged is a great film and also Mr Frost - very funny.

I bought It's a Wonderful Life last Christmas, but it didn't arrive till the new year ... so I put it away somewhere safe to watch this year.

If only I could remember where I put it

I was like that last year. I found mine in the Christmas decoration box in the loft. 
I mean why put them in the box in the loft when you know you want to watch them again before the middle of December... anyway *lightbulb*  Maybe they are there Rexi pudds.
