I never ever thought that the day would come but TBH Radio 1 and the music that they constantly play says nothing to me about my life. etc etc. I prefer R2 Terrry, Ken and co. For all that you get dross like Cheryl Cole, Leona, Whit-er-knee, and Alex, you are at least likely to hear some decent rock music. This morning's highlight was Annie Lennox singinging, "Would I lie to you?" It would be an ideal candidate for Rock week on the X-Factor, but perhaps too rock for the X Factor.

Radio 6 plays the best music.



God am I old?  

Never liked Moyles but gave up on Radio 1 when they brought in Ferne Cotten. I do miss Jo Wiley, Ok she was a bit left-field and shambolic but you did get a broad range of music and introduced me to many bands that have become firm favourites.

Annie Lennox is definitely too rock for X Factor. If Westlife couldn't sing it, it's too rock for the X Factor.


I haven't actually listened to Radio 1 for years. I'm a Radio 2 gal, apart from when Steve Wright is on, then I can't have the radio on at all because I become violent.

Oh we so agree about Wright. Him and that bloody faux laughing insincere simpering unctious possee. I normally put on some of my own favourites.

Aww I love a bit of Chris Moyles in the morning.

I almost wish I lived further away from work.

Oh now see I didn't want to like Evans but I do. When Johnny Walker left I thought they should have given his slot to Stuart Maconi and was really against Chris Evans getting it, but I really like his Drivetime show.

Never seen the fuss about him to be honest, but may have a little listen in the future, anythings got to be better than the idiot on Smooth West Midlands drivetime.

You should give him a try PB, he's very different now to how he used to be and he plays some half decent music too.

But will he be able to replace Terry? Will he have my favourite "Thought for the day!" person? Or is it Pause for thought?

I'm not sure about Evans taking over from Wogan tbh, but I don't know who else could do it either. I won't miss Wogan's playlist mind, all bliddy Corrs and Melua. I shall miss Janet and John though.

Chris Moyle's show is quite funny. I would rather watch that then listen to Sir Terry Wogan who I find very smug and patronising.

this last series he was on. he got really emotional.

I only listen to radio 1 for Chris Moyles then I switch over to Heart FM....I don't mind getting stuck in the que for the carpark in the morning...

I love Moyles in the morning.  To be fair, Wogan has also lost hundreds of thousands in the same time period.  Chris has been doing the breakfast show longer than anyone else, and has been brilliant.  I don't blame him if he wants to move on though.  It must be a nightmare having to get up at that time every morning.  He'll probably move onto another time slot, or get a tv show instead.

He's even shite-er on TV than he is on radio.

I love him on tv.

I think he's great and his breakfast team brighten up my mornings

The musics not always the best but the banter between them is fab
