I watched it and thought it was very good.
I note that some people have suggested they had trouble forgetting Dr Who when watching Matt Smith's performance.
I didn't have any such difficulty because I don't watch Dr Who.
I thought Matt Smith gave a very good performance - he was charming, untrustworthy, funny, posh, and smart.

My only problem was Imogen Poots as Jean Ross (Isherwood's inspiration for Sally Bowles.)
I loved Cabaret on stage - I thought Judi Dench was brilliant; but I hated the film - I thought Liza Minelli was totally miscast.
My difficulty here was that I felt that Imogen Poots was trying hard to be  Liza Minelli.
So I found her character jarring.
The rest I loved!
