Lets talk about her performance. Garbage, apart from the dancing which were good and very sexy (imo), but the lip-syncing was absolutely rubbish. She can't lip-sync, I noticed that when Girls Aloud lip-synced once, although it wasnt as bad as last night.
She needs to either sing live or not perform at all, because despite what everyone says, she (and the rest of the girls) CAN sing. But I think it's fair enough that she didn't feel up to singing live considering the few days she's had with Cashley's antics.

Without the theatrical long "tail" on the back I really rather like that little trench coat Cheryl is wearing. The style of it anyway
Absolutely agree Triggers, I loved it too (sans tail of course) Not going to comment on her performance cause I got a right telling off (read abusive rant) last night for daring to voice my opinion on her non singing

I think they do it when they're on tour Lazy
Oh I know but it is toned down a bit as they need to do it for a whole set but for a one off performance you put your all into it and I think she danced brilliantly last night. Plus on tour people will forgive them if the vocals aren't spot on but the Brits critics like many 'experts' on here would have knocked her if her vocals weren't up to par... She's damned if she does and damned if she doesn't IMO.

Don't really want to bring this up again fairfax, but I will anyways.... I didn't have a pop at your opinion - that is fine, I had a pop when you started stating some 'facts' which were infact false facts, then having none of it when I told you that they were infact fals facts that you were churping
Crunchy darling, I said I believed she did not sing live on XFactor, I still stand by that. I expressed this opinion, and you shot back in rather crude terms that I was spreading nasty lies and was probably a fan of Ashley Cole. Neither are true in fact. (Re-read the post if you want.) Not going to fall out with you or anyone on this forum, I like it too much here and I appreciate everyone has different opinions.

I apologise for anything that offended you. But to me it didn't come across like you were saying you 'believed' that her X Factor performance wasn't live, it came across as if you were saying I was talking utter bollocks, when really I've watched that performance about 10 times (or more) and it was absolutely live. That's just what got to me, that's all. I also don't want to fall out over things, so like I say, I apologise for saying you were lying and for saying that you were talking out of your backside.

Tigi,

Before the X Factor performance, they had planned for Cheryl to pre-record her entire performance (but her still singing live in front of a studio audience) and then air it on the night, so that she didn't have to do quick costume changes for judging etc etc. But the outrage from people and the media about that meant that they ended up abandoning those plans, and ended up performing the whole thing live on the night (no pre-records), which meant she ended up sitting behind the judges table for the rest of the night in part of her performance outfit (which was quite revealing)

I stand corrected then!

"Cheryl Cole is being forced to sing partly live on The X Factor after plans to mime throughout her performance were met by scores of complaints from viewers.

Show bosses have pulled plans for the Girls Aloud singer to record her performance of her debut solo single Fight For This Love hours before the live results programme on Sunday night.

However, fans will not be impressed to learn that Mrs Cole, 26, will still mime parts of the song and sing on top of a pre-recorded track, despite the show's contestants having to sing live for her and her fellow judges. "

But like Blizzie said it's kind of hard to dance like that and sing isn't it? I know some can do it but generally it must be pretty difficult!
It doesn't seem to faze rock singers, they jump around on stage and do all kinds of crazy stuff throughout their gigs and still put in effortless vocals...

It's funny how it's the manufactured, corporate puppets that struggle the most with it...

The whole thing wasn't live, I read the same as you and I'm sure some of it was part mimed?

And I know you keep talking about her husbands antics and holding that as the reason for her poor lip-synching, but she shouldn't have performed at all (or practiced miming a bit more).

I just think she looked a bit of a pleb really. She's trying too hard and it looks false.
