well she is sitting at number 1 in the charts.

I find it amusing.  Jamiroquai have always been a group that's been easy to mock and definitely uncool to like, partially because JK is a bit of a knob.  It's certainly true to say (IMO) that they've ripped off Stevie Wonder's 1970s style but for all that, they have made some outstanding pop songs and the musicianship on many of their records is first class.  JK certainly isn't original but he is a good singer.

I thought it was damn rude for Cheryl to not even applaud.  25 million album sales globally. 7 multi-platinum albums. Rhianna's done the same but she gets pawed over. Cheryl can smart all she wants, IF she ever gets to that kind of scale then she has the right to turn down her nose. Yes he said some right shitty things and shouldn't have done the show if that's how he felt, but to be honest if Aretha Franklin said I knew bugger all about music I'd still have to applaud her on live TV, if not to be the better person more than anything else.

Even Dannii applauded and he was equally rude about her.

Number 1 singles mean nowt these days. Years ago, you had to shift about 750,000 units to get to number 1, and if there were a lot of releases in that week, even more. Still a minute fraction of the population but gigantic compared to today's sales.

The money is made from albums and it's international success that bring the real shekels in. Let's hope Cheryl is a hit in Asia. Although knowing Cowell he'll give her a spot on the new X factor when it airs there (if she's not already judging on it).

I don't mean that I mean just because she is currently number one doesn't mean she has any staying power. Cheryl will last another 2 or 3 years max and another bit of eye candy who can bust a move will come along. If Cheryl is still going in 20 years time like the way Mariah Carey or even has popularity worldwide such as Beyonce then I'll eat my words.

The reason Cheryl is disliked is because she has such little talent, more talent than the average person on the street but in terms of raw talent in the music industry she is down near the bottom.  You have to credit the girl for what she has done with her morsel of talent, but it angers me that people like her get everything handed to them on a plate where as people who are truly talented have to fight hard to have their voices heard...excuse the pun.

Yeah she's definitely a one hit wonder.

By the way, i don't think she's ever claimed or thinks she's as big as Beyonce or Mariah Carey, but then again not many people are.

Is this some sort of a joke? I can't get a fag paper between any of the people mentioned in the last few posts! They're all pisspoor. It amuses me that in the past couple of weeks they've had so called stars who aren't as good as some of the contestants.
