I was just reading how there's a Blackberry death threat thing going on. Some guy has said there's a bullet waiting for Cheryl, and if he can't get to her then he's gonna get anyone called Cheryl. What would he have done if Gamu's name was Cheryl then? Or is insanity and outrage selective like that?

Not a fan of Cheryl, dont think for one minute she is rascist, but there seems suggestions on the Scottish news that Cheryl was told by Emigration officials not to put Gamu through as they knew deportation arrangements were in place. ?? It would maybe explain Cheryls emotional behaviour afterwards.....Someone from the xfactor in her house now, according to Scottish news just now...?

Hmm well if that's true why all the fakery then? Why not just say 'for reasons that cannot be divulged at this time, Gamu has had to be suspended from the competition' or summat like that? I understand that no timeslot or television production will wait for anyone's immigration issues, and her mother should have thought of that, but maybe if this was explained or dealt with in a different way from the outset all this wouldn't have happened.

But then hang on a sec - this is Simon Cowell. Hype equals viewers. Viewers equals sterling. Kerching!

Karma...there is someone at her home now from Talk Tv or something like that, didnt quite catch it, but apparently someone from the XFactor. There are calls too for Alec Salmond to intervene.  I t will all come out in the wash, so to speak. Doesnt look good for the Cowell camp tho...

There is, seemingly, someone from Xfactor or from a tv company in her house right now (we weren`t told who they were) but Scottish news didn`t suggest nor even mention that Cheryl had been told by Emigration officials not to put her through because of suspected deportation. The emigration situation is confidential between Gamu`s Mother and the authorities...and it`s not resolved.  No way would they contact Cheryl Cole to tell her not to put her through because she could be deported. That`s just ridiculous!

Big Brother is everywhere....Cant remember the issue exactly, my sister keeps up with all the news, i usually get my info from her..she is out tonight so i will get on board tomorrow

That's just not true - immigration would not get involved in a silly little TV programme.  If at that time Gamu was to leave the country they would contact her not the X Factor - that is just a story the papers made up so they could keep it in the news.

Surely the producers of the X Factor would have checked the visa status of anyone who it was proposed to put into the final.  If so, then perhaps that was why Gamu wasn't selected?

Cheryl and William picked who they felt can offer a complete, marketable package (otherwise known as the 'X-Factor'), and that's all there is to it. People (idiots) should really stop to think for a moment. If Cheryl is racist against black people, why is one of her best friends a black man (William)? Why was she married to a black man (Cole)?

I don`t know about that story Skylark but my point is... immigration officials would NEVER contact XFactor and tell them not to put Gamu through because there might be a problem with her residency!
