This is from The Gold Rush made in 1925. In 1942 Chaplin re-released this with his own dialogue (it's him doing the talking during this clip) and his own musical score.
This one is from City Lights with the final scenes. The music is not from the film but goes well with this clip.
I can remember my shock as a child to see on the TV this old man getting off a plane and being told it was Charlie Chaplin and thinking 'it can't be' it looked nothing like the little man in the films.
