Brian was jokingly using the term for someone who goes from one fella to the next i.e. she was flirting with Coolio, he went, Victor came in, and she turned her attention to him

So skank is a term to describe what most unattached women do?  

He may have been joking but I could not help get the feeling there was  biatchy dig at her  along the way as he did keep on a bit, I suppose if you smile jokingly you get away with it Brians way sometimes of getting his point accross to the HMS and the audience = the public.

Hi Marg..I find that with a lot of Brian's one-liners.   I've an Irish friend who uses the term 'a joke with a jag'  and I think that's what a lot of his 'humour' is.  I just can't warm to him at all.

Sorry for the delay. I'm mekkin' us tea. I was making reference to Shane MacGowan, or I could have mentioned Pete Doherty. Both extremely talented writers, but both, what my Irish mother-in-law would refer to as "a mess!"

That's the way we would use it here, I think that's how Brian meant it too in context of the joke.
