It may be that they get shown tomorrow as there will be no football programmes and the last Night of the Proms has been cancelled. Or it may be that BBC One will stay as it is at present until the day after the funeral. So next week's episodes could be taken off.

Oh ok El….tbh , sad as it is , I hope , from a personal point of view , that they get back to normal scheduling soon ….and Bake Off is due to start next week too .

The BBC in particular will have set a protocol to be followed some time ago as to what and when they can show programmes during the national period of mourning which continues to the end of the day of the funeral. That protocol isn't public knowledge so it's a matter of looking at schedules on a day by day basis for that day's programmes,
Comedy programmes are the ones most likely to be changed. For instance "Live at the Apollo" has been replaced by "QI" tonight on BBC Two.

Yes, they seem to have moved normal programmes …like Bargain Hunt etc …to bbc2 today .

Yes, and the radio is gradually getting back to normal ….they’ve just broadcast last nights Archers ( which was cancelled ) , so I’m a happy bunny

Audio only, you'll recognise the maypole dance section (Berwick Green) which starts just before 8 minutes in:

I thought you might recognise that
That clip was taken from a recording made in 1924 which is why the sound is a bit scratchy.

It's unlikely that this series of Masterchef will return until after the funeral. Episode 14 started off by recreating one of Mary Berry's classic recipes.
It was then followed to cook a dish dedicated to HM the Queen in celebration of this year’s platinum jubilee. That could be seen as insensitive of the BBC if shown during the perid of national mourning.

It is quite possible that the rest of this series won;t be shown for some time. Episode 14 may need to be revised to make it broadcastable.

Thanks El Let’s just hope it doesn’t effect Bake Off and Strictly.

I posted that about Masterchef as I thought that BBC might have shown the missing episodes tonight. Instead they are showing a film "Brooklyn" which wasn't in the original schedules. If the BBC were intending to show the episodes that would be been the easiest wat to do that. Hence my assumption that Masterchef won't return for some time.

I assume Bake Off will get shown on Tuesday. I think Strictly is likely to get shown but may be on BBC Two. Delays would cause scheduling issues for the finals of both (World Cup for Bake Off, Chrismas for Strictly).

I’m sure your assumptions are probably right El

As I expected there is no Celebrity Masterchef tomorrow, So no clash with Bake Off (tha't still scheduled for 8pm),
Although the BBC schedules have not been updated for Wednesday onwards yet, it's reasonable to assume that the Masterchef episodes scheduled for Thursday and Friday won't get shown.

BBC says that the final of Celebrity Masterchef will now be shown on Thursday 22nd. No mention of timings or when the other epsiodes will be shown but I can't see them being shown before next Tuesday.

Thanks El …it sounds like they may not even show the semi finals at all

Viewers saw Lesley Joseph sent home in the first semi-final challenge last Tuesday, but as the Queen passed away on Thursday the scheduled episode - which was due to include a Platinum Jubilee dish task - was cancelled, as was Friday's episode.

The two missing semi-finals episodes will air back-to-back on Thursday from 8.30pm, followed by the first two finals episodes on Friday at 9pm and Tuesday at 8pm, and then the champion will be named next Thursday 22nd.

I think it's to be 8:30 for the final on Thursday 22nd.

Those times agree with the schedules being shown on this site:

but the site says that the schedules are subject to change,
