Two series of Hunted have sought to find out if it’s really possible, in an age of CCTV and our ever-pervasive digital presence, to go off the grid. This time, for Stand Up to Cancer, a group of celebrity fugitives are giving it a go. Made in Chelsea’s Spencer Matthews and Jamie Laing, ex-Strictly champion Jay McGuiness and his The Wanted bandmate Siva Kaneswaran, Gogglebox’s Steph and Dom Parker and presenter Anneka Rice are all on the run from expert trackers.
Will the Chelsea boys’ desperate need for attention stifle their attempts to disappear? Probably not, given the number of helicopters and yachts they’re able to charter at a moment’s notice. Steph and Dom play to the gallery, too, hiring a getaway driver to zip them away in a classic convertible.
Summary
The real-life thriller returns with a celebrity special for Stand Up to Cancer, with Anneka Rice, Jamie Laing, Spencer Matthews, Jay McGuiness, Siva Kaneswaran, and Steph and Dom Parker. Anneka is quick off the mark, using friends in high places and her considerable charm with members of the public to her advantage, while Steph and Dom find themselves in danger as their attempts to lie low are hampered by having too much of a good time.
