Celebrity Big Brother lost a significant portion of its viewing audience last night, overnight data reveals.
For an edition which saw Kerry Katona, Bobby Sabel and Sally Bercow put up for eviction, the Channel 5 reality show averaged 3.22m (14.8%) in the 9pm hour, a drop of nearly 2m on Thursday's premiere night.
While Celebrity Big Brother experienced an even greater dip at the start of its last series on Channel 4 in 2010, the broadcaster will be hoping the show steadies, as channel executive Richard Desmond recently stated that he did not expect the show to fall under 3m.

He'd better prepare himself for a big disappointment then
I knew it would *feels smug*
I do actually think a large part of this is to do with the lack of Live Feed, and that half the housemates no-ones ever heard of.
Isn't it normal for the launch to have significantly more viewers than regular episodes?
I think it's more the size of the drop, than the drop itself.
The programme last night was all over the place. The story-telling edited direction was rubbish........I was watching with a friend last night who was completely oblivious that Kerry had got into Darren's bed instead of her own to win her challenge. It wasn't clear enough.
And the dramatic music was unnecessary.

oooooooooh I hadn't realised that either - I did wonder what was going on.

I am beginning to wonder if she did or not, I'm not sure now, lol. I thought she made a weak attempt at switching beds from what I saw. *confused*

But did she just 'get in' or did they really swap....and did they swap back later?
It looked like they all pretended to go to bed as they just lay there some still in there day clothes waiting for someone to shout "Cut" and then they could leave for the night.
What's it going to be like at eviction night,we wont even see the reaction of the others unless they get rid of BBBOTS and show us live footage from the house.
Apparently the loss in viewers is a boycott for live feed....

Given tonights so called 'highlights' show, a VERY big one
TBH, I thought the drop-off would be bigger, i.e. I thought it would drop below 3 million.
I still seriously expect that - apart from the final show - the viewing figures for CBB will be below 2 million by the end...

I saw a comment earlier that suggested that they were all taking a lovely open top bus ride around London. Cause we wouldn't know because we don't get any live coverage till next Friday. So you comments are totally plausible
It's nothing new.
Kerry's probably in a Premier Inn near Watford.
With Pablo Escobar.
I watched first night... can't be bothered already.
