I'm glad Robert seems to be enjoying his time in NZ, and it's good that FB helps you to stay in touch.

Day 2: The Life of Speidi

They’re used to the glamourous hills of LA, yet here they are banged up in an Elstree basement with only the tales of Razor Ruddock for entertainment. Heidi and Spencer Pratt are not impressed. They will not be sending Big Brother producers a Christmas card this year.

Despite this lifestyle downgrade, Speidi have rallied their spirits enough to make comparisons between their lives home and away. Apparently, they‘re a pair of homebodies, so being confined to a small space is pretty much business as usual. They also opened up about the relief of leaving the reality show that made them, in the words of Spencer, “the most famous people in the world”.

Sam and Razor peppered the duo with questions with Sam getting carried away and comparing them to The Beatles. Did we miss the episode of The Hills where they recorded a slew of iconic hit singles? Is their transatlantic drawl merely a Liverpudlian accent in disguise? No one asked Sam whether he needed H.E.L.P. so maybe the answer to both questions is ‘yes’.

But bravado and bonkers comparisons aside it would seem like Big Brother’s first married couple are hankering for the style to which they have become accustomed.

“They’re really nice guys,” gushed Sam to Razor in a private moment.

“Yeah, it’s just they don’t want to be here,” replied the former footballer with a speed of wit befitting his nickname.

Poor old Speidi, stuck in the centre of the powerful one’s web.

4.33pm: Watching from the #CBBbasement, Heidi compliments Ryan's attitude while Spencer judges what the other HMs are saying.

I think we usually have to sit it out and wait for UT to catch up - most if not all end up there but it doesnt seem priority for CH5 to get them there as quick as on FB and their own page 

am about - in and out while doing dinner - then seated till bedtime  dont bog yourself down - can soon catch up  from wherever me/you/anyone left off 

4.39pm: Ryan's won the #CBBpipes task. Hot water coming soon. Meanwhile #Speidi's refusal to cooperate has created a bit of a #Diveidi. #CBB

4:51pm: After the joy of the task, Rylan & Lacey have hit the tub, everyone else is too scared of getting wrinkly toes. Still, party!

17.04pm: Team Basement and Team Luxury have been instructed to return to their respective habitats. No more jacuzzi-ness.

Day 2: Speidi's task rebellion

6.30pm: The hot water has been restored after Ryan's epic efforts. He is the toast of the House

6.41pm: Ryan is sharing his current toilet habits. We wish he wouldn't.

6.47pm: "How deep is it Rylan? Will I drown?" Lacey, it's a shallow pool. We think you'll be okay

6.56pm: Razor's talking about the tricky dilemma of needing to go wee-wee whilst playing a professional football match

7.16pm: It's champers time in the upstairs region of the House. Frankie's doing the honours.

Thanks everyone for the updates, daughter has been hogging the lappy all day The two are so miserable, didn't they check what BB was about before they agreed to do the show

7.22pm: Whilst downstairs, Ryan and Sam are sitting around the table eating crisps. A crazy Friday night for the boys there.

7.32pm: Paula is trying to lure the housemates out of the basement with some terrible singing. It's not working

I think all they are interested in is the £££££'s

Today, Speidi refused to take part in the first task which would benefit Team Basement. Ryan then selflessly took their place and was supported by all the other housemates, except Speidi!

8.08pm: Lacey conscientiously washes up. She's pulled on a pair of marigolds... but she's still without trousers or a sensible skirt.
