CBB last year and I watched the first two BotS and that was about it for the rest of CBB and BB except for the Monday night revealing of who was nommed. There may have been the odd other time. but if so it was VERY odd.I lasted the first three BotS of this CBB and have only looked in twice since then tonight being one of them. I don't think I'll be looking in again this series Unless there is a VERY pressing reason.

Council bans smoking in Celeb BB outside  lounge
Âŧ Posted on Day 18 at 5:36pm

Celebrity Big Brother housemates will no longer be able to smoke in the  garden lounge area due to a council ruling, it has been claimed.

According to the Daily Mail, Hertsmere officials have studied detailed  floorplans of the current house and decided that the spot is too ‘substantially  enclosed’ for it to comply with recent smoking laws.

As a result, Big Brother has told the celebrities that the may now only smoke  in uncovered parts of the garden. If they break this rule, Endemol bosses could  be prosecuted and fined up to ÂĢ2,500.

Hertsmere Borough Council’s Corporate Communications Officer Anna  Cotton commented: “Following discussions with the Big Brother team we have  established that the smoking area breached regulations so the production team  has told housemates not to smoke in this area.

“Housemates are now only allowed to smoke in the garden area which  isn’t covered.

“We are obliged to enforce the law and the smoking area, known as the ‘outside lounge’ breached regulations as it was enclosed on three sides and has  a roof – smoking structures should be more open than this.“

Smoking in public places was banned in 2007. As the Big Brother house is  legally classed as a workplace, producers have had to designate smoking areas  outdoors since the eighth series.

But the area that they sit ,is that not outside the house ?(I am so glad I stopped smoking)

Erin I think someone had posted about one of the areas where they sit to smoke, indoors. They may coat up and get outside for the duration now.

yes it is outside and is the outside *lounge* as they call it has 3 sides and a roof and has been classed as unsuitable and breaking rules and regs of the smoking ban
