I think the Prince will be up, the other men are tighter with each other than him. If it's him up with Julie I think he could be saved

Day 18: round up

When the morning of Day 18 arrived, housemates awoke bleary-eyed to the stark realisation that they were down to eight in number.

Danica and Samantha were evicted the previous evening, leaving the House population somewhat depleted. Ashley and Harvey had a chat about the night's events, pondering the Julie boos and the loss of Sam and Danica. Those boos for Julie were something Lorenzo couldn't shake and he came up with an extravagant theory to support his take on the whole thing. Martin joined him to discuss the whole palaver, specifically what caused Danica's downfall. Elsewhere, Coleen decided enough was enough with Julie.

But it wasn't all doom and gloom. On a light note, Lorenzo enjoyed a lovely rubdown from the two Jules - and then things got sleepy. So sleepy, in fact, that Big Brother was forced toshake up the housemates' inadequate sleeping patterns.

That wasn't the only intervention from above. Big Brother sees all and, when he got wind of some naughty nominations nattering, the big dude dished out punishment like it was going out of fashion. Julie suffered a total leopard-print ban for her loose talk whilst Lorenzo and The Situation had to suffer an even more ignoble dressing down. They were forced into garish big cat underpants for the rest of the afternoon. Still in his lovely (if brief attire), The Prince was summoned to chat with Julie, and words were exchanged.

As the evening wore on, a task reared its head. The Acid Test involved letters from home for some of the housemates, with poor old Ashley roped in to decide who got what. His dilemma was that half the missives were to be dropped into corrosive fluid – and he found itquite a drag to choose.

While all that was going on, we caught up with Samantha and got the lowdown on her experience of the House. It was illuminating to get her take, to say the least.

After the task was over, it was time for the luckier housemates to receive their letters from home. There weren't enough tissues to absorb all the brackish tears, frankly.

To cheer things up a little bit, Big Brother announced a party. And what a party it was. The days of Acid House came back with a bang, causing housemates to party like it was 1992.

When the tunes had all run out, housemates enjoyed a cuppa (party on, guys and gals) and a trio of our pals had a little chat about how Julie's getting on. It wasn't entirely complimentary.

In fact, now that the centrepiece of that love triangle's departed the compound, it seems the next big story might surround a certain ex-Coronation Street actress – unless she decides to fade into the background. Don't expect that to happen too soon.

Celebrity Big Brother 2012: Final round of nominations!

Big Brother 2012 Diary Room chair

There’s just one more eviction to go until the Celebrity Big Brother 2012 final.

This Wednesday sees the final eviction of the series, with two housemates getting the boot in a second double eviction.

But first the housemates must nominate for one last time.

At least, everyone apart from The Situation, who has been banned from nominating from the rest of the series after breaking the rules last week.

Of course, this being Big Brother anything could happen.

We’re hoping that ALL of the remaining housemates will go up for eviction this week, giving us viewers the chance to select exactly who we want in the final on Friday night.

But if nominations do go ahead as normal, we reckon Prince Lorenzo, Julie and Coleen are all in danger for going up for the public vote.

Meanwhile, bookies Ladbrokes have revealed that one CBB fan has been ÂĢ5k on Coleen winning the series.

After surviving Friday night’s double eviction one punter in her hometown of Lancashire has placed ÂĢ5000 on Coleen to go on and win the show at 7/2, leaving them with an anxious wait to collect ÂĢ22,500 winnings.

However standing in Coleen’s way is long-term favourite Julian Clary at 11/8, followed closely by Martin Kemp at 11/4. The Situation still remains a popular bet with punters at 8/1 in the market.

Jessica Bridge of Ladbrokes said: “We certainly won’t be in the mood for dancing if Coleen wins. As the public start to turn their back on Julie it’s left Coleen to be the last woman standing and punters have grown wise to that.”
