Viewers have been flocking to Channel 5 for Celebrity Big Brother 2012, the  latest overnight ratings show.

Despite the β€˜normal’ series of the show hitting some all time lows earlier  this month, with one episode reaching less than 500,000 viewers, the Celebrity  series has done a lot better.

Over 2 million viewers watched last night’s latest highlights, up on the  equivalent episode of last year’s run.

Big Brother host Brian Dowling previously tipped the Celebrity series to do  better, saying that viewers would be awaiting the drama.

β€œI get really excited about the normal one because I was in the house, but  when it comes to the celebrity one there’s an extra hype around it,” Brian told  us. β€œThe ratings do double because people love celebrities, and with the celeb  one people know the people going in and they’re waiting for the drama.”

Tomorrow night sees the first live eviction show of the series, with Jasmine  and Rhian going head to head.

But there won’t be any let up, with another housemate being booted out in a  second eviction on Friday.

The current series will end in mid-September, with another run of Celebrity  Big Brother planned for January in 2013.

For the next task in the Big Spenders epic, Coleen, Julian, Julie and Sam will enter the Garden with their cheque books.  This merry quartet will be giving one another a few home truths … at a cost.
On the table in front of them are two piles of cards. One of the piles is made up of cards featuring housemates’ faces and the other pile contains a number of β€˜Home Truths’.  The home truths are incomplete statements. For example, one of them reads β€œYour worst habit is...”
Housemates will go in alphabetical order to pick up the top card from each pile, holding up the housemate's face and reading out the incomplete sentence written on the card. For each truth told, Housemates will spend a crucial ten pounds.
If Big Brother doesn't deem a Home Truth to be truthful enough then Housemates' cheques will bounce and will not be counted towards the group's efforts.
As we all know full well – Big Brother's decision is final. Let's see if this gang of four can handle the truth...

Day 7: Julie's good here

Whilst the Big Brother House might be a struggle for some, for our Julie it's a walk in the park. Sitting in the garden earlier today, she commented that she's been having a blast over the last seven days. The soap legend has been particularly impressed by the behaviour of her fellow co-habitants - arguing aside of course - saying that she's not used to this kind of treatment in the outside world.

"I've had cups of tea without being asked... The boys have even made me sandwiches. I've been blown away by that" she said.

Ah! You see? Our celebrities are a good bunch.

"It's the little things that mean a lot" she stated - and we couldn't agree more.

Jasmine, who has been accused of being slothful since being in the House, responded with, "If I knew tea was the way to your heart, I'd have made you more." Is the model trying to curry favour with the Corrie Queen?

If so, it may be working – "No, you've been there." And that is all that matters, apparently. "Everyone loves you" the model cooed to her matriarchal figure.

"F*****g hell" was Julie's ever-eloquent answer.

That's our Julie, humbled by sandwiches and blessed with the filthiest mouth around. Not quite the diva we thought she was going to be.
