Martin Kemp has entered the Celebrity Big Brother House

Well, crikey. As if we need to introduce Martin John Kemp. In case you're completely celebrity ignorant, you'll know Martin's an actor and musician, best known as the bassist in Spandau Ballet and for playing Steve Owen in EastEnders.

As a child, Martin appeared in many TV shows including Jackanory, The Tomorrow People, and Dixon of Dock Green. His life changed when  it was suggested he should replace the bass player of his brother's band. Eventually they were renamed Spandau Ballet and went on to become one of the most successful bands of the 1980s. They scored ten Top Ten singles and four Top Ten albums in the UK, and their third album True topped the charts all around the world.

Martin and his brother Gary returned to acting in 1990, both of them appearing (to great acclaim) in the British film The Krays. He went on to become popular for his role as villain Steve Owen in BBC's, EastEnders. His character was involved in some of the soap's highest rated storylines such as the Saskia Duncan murder and "Who Shot Phil?".

Spandau Ballet reformed in 2009 – and tickets for their gig at the London O2 arena sold out within 20 minutes.

On top of all that, Martin's now officially a celebrity housemate – True (comedy GOLD, right?).

Jasmine Lennard has entered the Celebrity Big Brother House

Well , look at who's just wafted into our famous bungalow – it's Jasmine Lennard! Who's that you ask? Pah, pay better attention to gossip rags in future! We will take a moment to explain, though...

Jasmine shot to fame in 2005 as a finalist on the show Make Me A Supermodel! She's the daughter of Brian Lennard, who founded Sacha Shoes, and actress Marilyn Galsworthy. They divorced when Jasmine's mum found out that her husband had gambled away the family fortune. Oh dear indeed. It's possible that their marriage was rocky early on since Marilyn claims she named Jasmine's sisters after their dad's mistresses. Unconventional to say the least!

Jasmine was a model in one of the first series of Make me a Supermodel in 2005 -  she didn't make the final but certainly won on the entertainment front due to her outlandish behaviour. Something we hope for more of in Celeb Big Brother.

She later became the presenter of Make Me A Supermodel Extra, but got the axe after swapping the 'H' for an M' in the surname of the show's judge, judge Rachel Hunter. The cheeky so and so!

More recently, she's been trotting down red carpets across the land – although she took a brief break to give birth son, Phoenix, in 2010 – after a 84 hour labour! Will her Celeb BB experience be a tougher experience? Only time will tell.

Coleen Nolan has entered the Celebrity Big Brother House

We're in the mood for dancing, romancing and giving it all tonight! Why's that, you ask? We'll tell you why – Colleen Nolan has just entered the House.

An English television presenter and author, Colleen first started out in showbiz as a member of prototype girl-band, The Nolans. The Nolans success included two Royal performances, record-breaking sales in Britain and more than nine-million records sold in Japan.

In 1975 The Nolans supported Frank Sinatra on a UK tour and Rolf Harris in South Africa.  At the end of 1979, the group released I'm In the Mood for Dancing, which became their best-known tune and biggest hit. It reached number three in the UK and number one in Japan.

Since her glory days in the music industry, Coleen’s worked extensively in television, with stints on This Morning, Loose Women, Dancing On Ice and The Wright Stuff.

Coleen has three children - two boys with ex husband Shane Richie and a girl with her second husband musician Ray Fensome. She'll miss them over the next three weeks as she has a long date with Big Brother to navigate her way through. Unless she gets evicted out, of course...

Ashley McKenzie has entered the Celebrity Big Brother House

Having just walked through Big Brother's door, Olympic athlete and Judo genius Ashley McKenzie is now a confirmed housemate.

Ashley's mum introduced him to the sport after he had an altercation with someone over PokÃĐmon cards. He was ejected from his first primary school and went to a special needs school where he was diagnosed with ADHD and OCD.

At the age of 14, Ashley oscillated between being the star of the youth team and being its liability. There was never any doubt over his talent though and he's proven himself abundantly, winning bronze at the European junior championships and now gold at the senior British Open for three years running.

Since taking up Judo, Ashley has held the junior number one ranking for his weight category, won bronze at the European Junior Championships and earned Senior British Open gold.

Although he was a hopeful at the London Olympics, the 23-year-old was knocked out in the first round of the men's -60kg category, losing to eventual silver-medallist Hiroaki Hiraoka.

Better luck in the Celebrity Big Brother House, eh, Ash? No, seriously, we think we're lucky to have such a talented chap in the mix. Welcome!

Danica Thrall has entered the Celebrity Big Brother House

The next celeb to waft loveliness in to the House is Danica Thrall, a model, entrepreneur and star of the pleasingly rhymed, Sex Lies and Rinsing Guys.

Ms Thrall earned her stripes in 2006 when she was crowned Miss Derby. She went on to compete in Miss England where she finished honourably in the top ten.

Danica has been professionally modelling for two years and has graced the covers of FHM, Loaded and Nuts in her homeland. Her fame has since spread and she has appeared in publications in the USA, France, Holland, Spain and Thailand.

Danica has a twin sister called Sophie, in no way sparking any sort of male fantasy. No, definitely not.

Sex Lies and Rinsing Guys, Danica’s current Channel 4 documentary, focuses on how Danica is using her modelling and entrepreneurial skills to make money out of men. Understandably, the show has stirred up some up controversy, with viewers divided on the morality of ‘rinsing’ guys.

Danica said in Sex Lies and Rising Guys that, “we want to make as much money as we can”. It remains to be seen whether her stint in the Celebrity Big Brother House will help this candid goal.

Prince Lorenzo Borghese has entered the Celebrity Big Brother House

Roll out the red carpet and take a bow – our latest celeb housemate is  Prince Lorenzo Borghese. Greetings, your Royal Highness...

Lorenzo, as we'll call him for short, is a member of the Italian noble family, the House of Borghese, a cosmetics entrepreneur, animal advocate, and star of the ninth series of US series The Bachelor.

Born in Milan, his parents are Prince Francesco and Princess Amanda Borghese. He lived in Rome and Paris before moving to Connecticut as a wee five year old.

Our handsome prince has ancestors including Pope Paul V (Camillo Borghese) and Cardinal Scipione Borghese. The Villa Borghese is the largest park in Rome and the Borghese family’s name and crest can be found on the facade of St. Peter’s Basillica. Not too shabby, eh?

However, our favourite thing about Loz, as we'll now call him for short, is the fact that he has a line of luxury pet care products. Aw.

He also published his first novel in 2010, which was called The Princess of Nowhere, a fictional romance re-imagining of the life of Lorenzo’s direct ancestor, Princess Pauline Bonaparte (Napoleon’s sister). He's a regular Prince Charming, basically.

Samantha Brick has entered the Celebrity Big Brother House

Here comes Samantha Brick - ex-television executive, TV consultant, journalist, writer, yogi and French housewife (but probably most famous for her controversially honest account of her own beauty which went viral after appearing on the Mail Online).

Before all that palaver, Samantha's made documentaries and reality shows for every major channel in the UK and, in the US, MTV, Fox and Bravo. She also gave Tess Daly, Russell Brand, Kirsty Gallacher and Kate Thornton their first breaks on TV.

Samantha’s famous (or infamous) article from the Daily Mail made headlines for being slightly self-indulgent. The title of the article was ‘There are downsides to looking this pretty. Why women hate me for being beautiful’.

It caused quite a storm across social media. The article outlines the hardships of being so attractive and how difficult it is to be subject to jealousy and envy from other woman The article conveyed her sadness at being dropped by countless friends who ‘felt threatened if I was merely in the presence of their other halves’.

“My detractors have simply proved my point. Their level of anger only underlines that no one in this world is more reviled than a pretty woman," she said.

But whatever the public made of that column, let's wipe the slate clean and see how Samantha gets on mingling with the great and good of entertainment.

MC Harvey has entered the Celebrity Big Brother House

Yo, yo, yo, MC Harvey in da House.

MC Harvey, or Michael Harvey Jr to give him his full and proper title is a rapper, reality star, self-confessed ladies man and most recently, a proud father.

Harvey was one of the founder members of UK garage/grime collective So Solid Crew, their biggest hit was ‘21 Seconds’ which hit number one in the UK Singles Chart in August 2001.

In 2002, the Crew were the subject of the Channel 4 documentary This Is So Solid. Cameras followed and interviewed members of the group to try and break stereotypes surrounding their lifestyle.

In 2000, Harvey began dating and eventually married Mis-Teeq singer Alesha Dixon. Feisty female singers are clearly a weak spot of MC Harvey who also had a relationship with Javine Hylton, the mother of his three-year-old daughter, Angel.

Harvey is quoted as saying his daughter Angel has changed his life, explaining; "she’s the love of my life and is teaching me so much."

We’re happy that Harvey has found joy in fatherhood, but the question of the moment is will the rapper last much longer than 21 seconds?

Rhian Sugden has entered the Celebrity Big Brother House

We're pretty sure our male viewers are particularly interested in this one, eh, boys? Rhian Sugden has just entered the House!

Now, there's much more to Rhian than her enviable figure. Although she's been a glamour model and Page Three girl, she's also a professional DJ – frequenting the turntables of clubs around the UK (as opposed to being a disc jockey).

The saucy minx has also appeared on screen in shows such as Ant and Dec Saturday Night Takeaway and Soccer AM – with the latter surely increasing her male fan club even further.

In 2011, the model appeared in the flick Your Highness alongside Natalie Portman. Hold on to your Oscar, Nat – there's a new screen star in town (in Elstree anyway).

However, our favourite thing about Rhian is the amazing work she does for charidee. In 2011, she, along with ex-celeb housemate Lucy Pinder, raised money for Get Kids Going, a charity giving disabled and young children the chance to participate in sports, by means of inviting sponsorship for her and Lucy's participation in the 2011 Modball Rally which is an international road rally which takes place on public roads, with a different route each year.

What a big, big heart she has. The House is lucky to have her!

Julian Clary has entered the Celebrity Big Brother House

Set your face to 'chuckling' as the next celeb to enter the House is comedian and television personality, Julian Clary.

Julian began working on the cabaret circuit in the early 80s. His act was known as ‘The Joan Collins Fan Club’, and comprised himself and sidekick pet (everyone needs a sidekick pet), Fanny the Wonderdog.

Julian’s early television career saw him performing in Sticky Moment, Terry and Julian, All Rise, Prickly Heat, Its Only TV But I Like It, Come And Have a Go and The Under Dog Show.

The beautifully made-up chap continues to tour the UK, Australia and New Zealand with his one-man shows. Towards the end of this year he will begin touring, 'Position Vacant - Apply Within’ which basically means Julian will be scouring the UK in search of love. He is dedicated to one thing; finding himself a husband. He promises to leave ‘no straight unturned’.

Will the straights be turned in the House? Who can possibly say?

Mike 'The Situation' Sorrentino has entered the Celebrity Big Brother House

Reality TV fans nationwide will be gobsmacked at the fact Mike 'The Situation' Sorrentino - Jersey Shore's finest – has just walked across our threshold.

Born in Staten Island, New York, Mike grew up in Manalapan Township, New Jersey. He worked as an assistant manager of a fitness centre and then, when he was 25, began underwear modelling. And then Jersey Shore happened.

Mike made more than $5 million in 2010 - the second highest of any other reality star after Kim Kardashian - accrued through endorsements with a vodka company and a sneaker brand as well as a ghost-written autobiography, a rap song, a workout DVD, a vitamin line, a clothing line, and appearances including Jersey Shore and Dancing with the Stars.

In August 2011, Mike was offered a "substantial" sum of money by fashion retailer Abercrombie & Fitch not to wear the company's clothes. Ouch.

On March 21, 2012, Mike confirmed that he had checked himself into rehab "to get control of a prescription medication problem." He checked out of the treatment center on 4 April this year.

Mike says he now 'wakes up every day with a smile'. We can't wait for him to crack that grin in the House when Big Brother sets off his alarm of doom every morning. Welcome to the fold, Mike! Or do we call you The Situation? We'll work it out as we go along.

Cheryl Fergison has entered the Celebrity Big Brother House

Watch out - here comes Cheryl Fergison! Otherwise known to soap audiences throughout the land as EastEnders' Heather Trott.

Heather was originally only meant to be a guest character in the E20-based soap, but her contract was extended to six months after she proved a hit with the public. The much loved launderette washer-woman recently departed the series after being killed by young Ben Mitchell. Bad Ben!

Despite that final act in her character's life, most of Heather's storylines have involved comedy. Her earliest and most memorable was when she entered her friends Hazel and Minty into a wedding competition. When Hazel left Minty, Heather pretended to be Hazel so that they could stay in the competition and win the prize money.

More recently, her plots have included darker stories such as single motherhood and a fragile romance with bouncer, Andrew. She was known for wearing headbands (usually with a matching handbag), and also for her love for George Michael.

It's not all EastEnders though. Since leaving the soap, Cheryl's made a variety of television appearances on shows such as GMTV, The Paul O'Grady Show, This Morning and Loose Women.  On top of that, her stage credits include Measure For Measure for the Royal Shakespeare Company.

Our favourite Chezza, for sure.

Julie Goodyear has entered the Celebrity Big Brother House

Is that the sound of a melancholy trumpet? It must be because Julie Goodyear - aka Corrie legend Bet Lynch - has just entered the Celebrity Big Brother House.

In 1995, after winning the 'Lifetime Achievement Award' for her role as Bet Lynch in the first ever National Television Awards, Julie quit the soap yet the ripples of her performance continued, and in 1996 she was awarded an M.B.E. for services to television drama.

In 1979, Julie discovered she had cervical cancer and had two major operations before making a full recovery. The Julie Goodyear Laboratory, which her charity supports operates at The Christie Hospital, Manchester.

'Just Julie', her autobiography, was released in November 2006 and includes many salacious details about her sexual adventures.

In 2007 Julie, married long time boyfriend Scott Brand in an intimate ceremony. The pair met when Scott used to sit watching her from a tree outside of her house. She grew fond of him over time, realising that wanted to protect her and genuinely loved her.

In May 2012, Julie starred in, ‘Street of Dreams’ a musical interpretation of Coronation Street, paying homage to its most well-loved characters from the past.

Will the Celeb Big Brother House be a dream of a nightmare for Julie? Stay tuned to find out.
