Day 6: Carol and Mario face the Test Of Time

Housemates are used to agonising over how long their careers might last and now they've another Test Of Time on their hands. This week's shopping task is about to end with two housemates up against the clock, attempting to crack a safe in the time the crew have previously banked.

The chosen duo will be presented with three locked boxes and a large safe which will have three clock faces attached to it. Displayed on the wall is another large clock face with the twelve Housemates faces on it.

At the beginning of the task, HMs have to find the right key to open box number one, which will reveal the first clue in a series of "he said / she said" quotes and facts.

The pair will have to guess who's involved in the clue, find them on the clock face on the wall and then enter the time both their faces represent onto clock number one on the safe.

Sound complex? It probably is a bit. Sound like it'll baffle whichever couple of HMs take it on? Let's hope so!

If all three clues have been guessed correctly and the right times have been entered on the three clock faces on the front of the safe, it will unlock to reveal a fresh shopping list, ready for the week's order.

Can they handle it? Possibly. Just so long as they remember that time waits for no man. Or woman. Or any housemate either.

Keep checking the site to see how they get on!

Day 6: How did the housemates get on the in the Time Is Money shopping task finale?

The fate of the housemates' hungry bellies was put in the hands of Mario and Carol this evening, as they took part in the grand finale of this week's shopping task, Time Is Money.

As we explained earlier, Big Brother had concocted a confusing and controversial game called Test Of Time, where that all-important luxury budget was lying in wait inside a safe. All Mario and Carol had to do was work out the 'he said/she said' quotes ('A said this about B'), match their selected housemates to the hands of the clock and open the lock lying before them. Sounds simple, no? Not under the added pressure of the five and a half minute time limit the housemates had amassed over the last two days.

So if that was the confusing bit, then what was the controversial part?

Well that's where the quotes came in. Mario correctly guessed that Carol had said that Sophie "looks like a trout", while Carol remembered Charlotte's outburst that Vicky "is a bit of a stupid cow". And of course, the rest of the House were watching all of this unfold live on the living room screen.

But the grumpy few couldn't stay in a mood for long, because guess what... they passed the task!

"You guys kicked ass!" proclaimed Dustin, as the pair emerged triumphantly from the task room, luxury shopping list in hand.

"I want a chocolate egg, that's all I want," added Mario. We reckon he deserves a few of them after today's success.

Day 6 round-up: Bath time is money

It was Day 6 of this celebrity batch's time in the Big Brother House and it was also the second day of their shopping task. Time Is Money seemed to be messing with housemate's minds as they woke up (some of them a little groggy) first thing in the morning.  Theycouldn't work out what time it was, which was rather fitting.

But there's always time for a hair treatment, at least as far as celebs are concerned. Vicky had her barnet seen to by Lauren and she seemed delighted with the results. All the same, the House was a bit subdued in the morning, though Bruce teaching Dustin to make a brew lifted a spirit here and there.

No time to mope though – that task soon reared its head again. A team bath turned out to be quite unpleasant, but some of our celebs managed to make it through. The grime didn't stop there though – Louie had something to say about the level of hygiene in the House after everyone had showered down. The task finale came along next, with Carol and Mariofacing the clock and figuring out who said what about who. Their housemates watched on the plasma and got an early heads up on how they got on.

As the day wound down our celebrity friends had a quieter night than usual. Lauren and Courtney's bond grew tighter and Charlotte taught a lesson in gibberish to her new pals. After that – an early night. Probably for the best – there is an eviction on the evening of Day 7 after all..

Tonight on Big Brother's Bit On The Side: Wednesday 28th August

Time flies, eh? Tonight will see the first eviction from the Celebrity Big Brother class of Summer 2013, and as you can imagine, we have a great Bit On The Side lined up for you!

The stunningly spectacular AJ and Rylan will be joined by the twin-tastic Jack and Joe, who we're hoping will lower their tone and strengthen their argument for a great panel chat. Nicola McLean will be in the studio, too, offering her ex-hoursemate perspective on the star-studded House.

And, of course, your guest of honour, this evening's evictee. Will it be Ron, Danielle or Vicky? There's still time to vote, you know...

Day 7: Lauren's antiques task

With an antiques expert residing in the Celebrity Big Brother House, what better way for the housemates to spend their afternoon than getting their knick-knacks valued by the Queen of antiques herself, Lauren Harries.

The celebrities have been asked to present their most treasured and valuable possession to Lauren and give a reason why it means so much to them. It might be a rare diamond ring, a one-off pair of designer sunglasses or a maybe a photo that holds sentimental value. Who knows what these celebs are hoarding, but it'll be interesting to see what they unearth!

Once Lauren has given the trinkets a once over, she'll decide whose item is the most valuable, with the winner receiving a special prize - a British afternoon tea with Lauren. How splendid.
