1.25pm: Housemates are rehearsing their songs. Here's the task lowdown

Day 21: Battle of the Bands task

Another day, another task and this one looks set to send tremors through the pop world - it's a Battle of the Bands.

With his advance boybanding skills Abz was an obvious choice to take charge of one group, while Louis' proficiency as a dancer was preferred to Lauren's propensity for sudden vocal runs in the kitchen, and he was put in charge of the other bunch.

The rules are simple: each team is charged with writing an original song about their time in the House. They will then be required to come up with a dance routine and a style of their own.

At that point they will then perform in a head-to-head winner-takes-all one-off performance of incredible magnitude with delicious prizes guaranteed.

In Louis' group, in reverse alphabetical order, are: Courtney, Charlotte and Carol.

While Abz will be getting down with Lauren, Mario and Vicky.

Two words: In. Tense.

Interview: Marcus Bentley's most memorable moments

His dulcet tones are so familiar he was recognised on his way to our interview when he stopped to ask a pair of policeman directions. But Marcus Bentley was just  a jobbing actor when he picked up the part as the narrator of Big Brother after a very lo-fi audition.

"I've still got the bit of paper I scribbled down the script on," he said. "I recorded it on a minidisc player with an ÂĢ8 microphone. It was the line, 'so and so is in the garden feeding the chickens,' that got me the job. The commissioning editor liked the way I said chickens. Thirteen years later, here I am."

Marcus has seen hundreds of housemates come and go but he genuinely believes this year's Celebrity Big Brother to be the best and he thinks he knows why.

"Years ago celebrities went in just for the money and didn't do anything," he said. "Now they know they have to work. Courtney is playing up to her role as a glamour girl, Charlotte is so endearing despite her jaw-dropping antics, she's doing her job. Carol is being the cold, hard talking Loose Woman and Louie really is playing the game. They are all working – even Danielle tried to, although someone had to go out first so she didn't really get a chance."

So what are his most memorable moments? Read on...

Charlotte wetting the bed:

"This certainly wasn't my favourite moment, but it certainly was memorable. I've never seen the like of it before – not just her doing it but it was everybody's reaction. They accepted it. It's not the first time a housemate has wet the bed – Brian Belo did in Big Brother 8 when he was in the caravan and he went on to win!"

The Only Way is Geordie task:

"What a brilliant task! Lauren's disobedience really made it! Dustin, who hadn't done too much in the House, got a chance to be shine and be so funny, while Courtney really threw herself into it."

Courtney playing handies with Mario:

"That whole episode was unbelieveable! It was so shocking – it had everything from start to finish – hilarity and drama. I couldn't believe a married woman was playing handies with another celebrity and Mario was playing back. That was the episode with the letter shredding too."

Louie asking Sophie if she had had botox:

"This was such a great Celebrity Big Brother moment. Louie said what the rest of the House was thinking after she'd denied it. He said something like, 'Well of course you have darling.' It was totally jaw-dropping."

Louie's entrance back into the House after the Cult of Celebrity:

"It was so camp and hilarious! He had to do a version of the Judas kiss with Big Ron which was just brilliant. He knows what you have to do and that the British love an eccentric.  He goes around being the campest thing and that's why he is so entertaining."

Lovely to see the bountiful belly of Razor!

But it appears Lauren has forgotten that a bath needs water.

Day 21: Pre-eviction prep

It's a very solemn Celebrity Big Brother House at the moment, which is hardly surprising considering we've an eviction just around the corner.

Housemates haven't been told it's a double this evening but they certainly suspect tonight might see a couple of their number heading out and into the night. What can they do about the situation other than - in the case of the nominated housemates - cross their fingers and dress up to the nines?

The clock is ticking and our housemates are scrubbed up. Channel 5 from 9pm is where you need to be to see who's out - and if you still need to vote, head here.

Courtney has been evicted from the Celebrity Big Brother House

Our American beauty has left the building, but Courtney departs an honorary Brit – fresh with the knowledge of Weetabix (or 'Weet-a-bits'), the Battersbys and valuable tea-making skills.

Courtney's first night got off to a traumatic start, when her cuddly toy came face to face with Elstree's soggy conditions. She wasn't a happy, err, bunny.

As housemates go, the model was fairly harmless and kept herself away from drama. But she did make a few enemies along the way, with Dustin and Abz both finding her an unhygienic neighbour. Will the House be a cleaner place now she's gone? It'll certainly not be as pretty, considering the gang ranked her the biggest BB babe going.

Spare a thought for Lauren, though, who will be mourning the loss of her new BFF. Courtney and Lauren really hit it off in the House and warmed our hearts with their unlikely friendship. They came to blows at one point, but kissed and made up in the end. So at least she leaves with someone to hold her hair back the next time she has too much birthday cake.

Courtney has been very popular in the House, making buddies with Sophie and Abz, too. Although her friendship with Sophie was nipped in the bud when Sophie nominated her. Ouch.

This American sweetheart was a real ray of sunshine in the House, whether she was prancing around in a boiler suit or a bikini, or mindlessly putting stocks cubes in kettles. She eventually won lots of unexpected admiration from Vicky, but Carol just wasn't a fan, although the pair did find common ground in their deep hatred of spa treatments. With the seasons suddenly changing mid-run she might be wise to locate a warm jacket from somewhere.

Adios Courtney, you’ll be missed!

Louie has been evicted from the Big Brother House

He came, he saw, he pirouetted and, good heavens, he didn't half gossip. Louis Spence has left the House after a long stint in celebrity captivity – and he left a few ears burning in his wake.

Entering the House early on during launch night, Louis was immediately sent with Lauren and Sophie to the Cult of Celebrity temple where he got to spy on the entering housemates and watch their actions as they settled in. On Day 2, the trio were revealed to the rest of the House after they'd chosen one of their housemates for eviction and Louis was unapologetic about the whole affair, which seemed to surprise a few viewers.

After the big reveal and over the course of the next week, Louie didn't hold back if he had an opinion to share. He told Vicky she was behaving like something unmentionable after his first night in the main House and he let Danielle know in no uncertain terms that he didn't like her.

But Louie made some firm friends in there, chief among them Loose Woman Carol with whom he shared many an unrestrained moan – even about Charlotte, who turned out to be another pal he became close to. Perhaps a little too close at one stage!

Louie's enviable dance skills helped him out on more than one occasion. He was asked to judge the smooth moves of his housemates, and then tasked with the scary challenge of walking on (totally safe sugar) glass. He stayed true to his choreographically fantastic self at all times, showing enviable form even under pressure.

Perhaps the highlight of Louie's stay came when Big Brother challenged him to fake a full on drunken meltdown in front of his housemates. It made for some truly amazing viewing.

So he leaves having stirred a few pots, offered sage advice to younger reality stars, ruffled a few feathers but, more importantly, having added some glitz and pizzazz to what has been a true classic Celebrity Big Brother. Dance out of the door, Louie – we wouldn't expect anything less.

9.59pm: Carol's visibly confused at the public's #CBBeviction choices. "I just don't know what's going on any more" she says.

10.06pm: The remaining HMs (your final six no less!) have just raised a toast to the #CBBfinal. They're sipping bubbles, baffled.

10.14pm: Mario reacts to the double #CBBeviction by eating a bowl of cereal. Charlotte says she should wear a bra more often

10.23pm: Abz is shaking his head and raving about #CBB so far. "It's been amazing" he says

10.32pm: Vicky's gone into motormouth mode while Mario's wandered into the garden to be on his own

10.38pm: In the Diary Room, Charlotte celebrates making the final by doing a dance which involves smacking her own bottom.
