Week 3 round up: Mr Big and the eviction surprise

Mr Big was pulling the strings at the start of Week 3 as Carol, Lauren and Mario were sent to the slammer. But all was not what it seems and the prisoners were infact languishing in the lap of luxury while the other housemates completed tasks including sacrificing their food and gobbling some gross grub.

Courtney shed her clothes in favour of a boiler suit earning herself a one-on-one with her hubby and Dustin screeched his way through a special performance.

Housemates were still down on their luck on Day 13 as Courtney kicked up a stink over her overalls which riled the prisoners. Abz perked up a sullen House after he was tasked with performing a 5ive hit five times! Bruce and Vicky brought their on screen alter egos to life in a special episode of Big Brother Street.

All this was small potatoes compared to BB's big bombshell – Carol was fake evicted from the House!

Carol kicked off Day 14 in the comfort of the luxury room and spent her day seeing whether or not the housemates were missing her. Charlotte turned psychic and Big Brother got the housemates to Pull Their Weight  - a task which proved girls were better than boys.

Before they knew it, it was time for another eviction and Sophie was shown the doorCarol returned to the House and was rewarded by having to make a killer nomination. She picked Courtney. Face to face noms threw another spanner in the works with seven staring down the barrel of an exit on Friday.

There was plenty of chat on Day 15 but the drama was dominated by Louis. Our light footed fellow was given a secret mission and convinced his fellow housemates he was having a boozy meltdown. He was rewarded for his showstopper with a bouquet of flowers.

Courtney got a telling off at the start of Day 16 for her wine fuelled antics the previous night. Her mood was much improved by a megalols task from BB – The Only Way is Geordie.  Coached by Charlotte and Mario, Courtney and Dustin made constructed reality gold.

Sadly this was to be Dustin's swan song as he and Bruce were booted out in a double eviction! We didn't see that one coming.

And then there were eight. Day 17 revealed Vicky had slept in her eviction outfit much to Louie's amusement. Vanessa Feltz made a guest appearance hosting BBFM and gave the housemates a proper grilling. Abz wowed the House by turning an apple into a swan.

The end of the week spelled double trouble for the housemates who spent Day 18 tethered together. There was more misery as a whopping five names were in the frame for Wednesday's last eviction. But this meant the remaining three Abz, Charlotte and Lauren were definitlely in the final. High fives guys!

Big Brother wasn't done though - there were letters from home in need of shredding and the pairs were given a proper dilemma deciding whose would be destroyed.

With five days to go, the end is in sight but with BB at the helm it's bound to be a bumpy ride to the final.

Day 19: Five face eviction - vote lines now open!

They've been speculating their little cotton socks off since Bruce and Dustin were booted out on Friday about whether or not they'd have another eviction to face before the Finale. Yesterday Big Brother told them that they would indeed.

In pairs, the housemates nominated - and now the results are very much in and the vote lines are open!

Courtney, Louie and Vicky had barely gotten over their survival from Friday's eviction when they were told they'd face the public vote again.

While Courtney and Louie have been up for eviction more times than they've had hot dinners, it's Mario and Carol's first time up for eviction. Blimey.

This, of course, means that Charlotte, Abz and Lauren are through to the Finale! Well done, guys!

You'll probably be looking to vote. To save your fave from our unfortunate five, you can visit the voting page and have your say. Phone lines are officially open!

Day 19: Big Brother's Bitchfest

Housemates better be in the mood for talking because this afternoon Big Brother expects them to debate like they've never debated before. A certain Mr. Rylan Clarke is planning on presenting a chat show discussing topics concerning the House – and it's set to feature some very special guests.

In the living area, a chat show desk will be set up and Rylan will be introduced by Big Brother as the host. Carol will be compelled to join him and then a couple of surprise guests will be revealed. Danielle and Sophie are going back into the House for a short while, to talk about all things housemate.

Rylan will lead the discussion, focusing on all the current House affairs. Danielle and Sophie - who have since watched the show and have been quoted in various interviews – will be the focus, with Carol invited to join in and respond to their post-eviction thoughts.

These discussion points are just the start as the studio audience (the other celebrity housemates) will be given the chance to ask questions and put their opinion across. We have a feeling this one's going to get a little bit angry.

Day 19: Courtney and Lauren are "Blonde and Blonder"

"Courtney," asked Louie brandishing the kettle, "How did you make the stock for dinner?"

Our twinkle toed fellow wasn't after the recipe, he uncovered a gaping hole in our LA lovely's domestic education.

"Did you put the stock cube in the kettle?" he smirked.

The blonde bombshell sheepishly admitted she had! Not that she should give herself too much of a hard time, a handful of past housemates have gone there before her and made gravy in the plug in boiling jug.

Her excuse. "The cube threw me off," she whined.  "We have just stock like sugar at home, all crumpled up." Well of course. Cubes can be confusing at the best of times.

Her partner in crime and Blonde Ambition side-kick Lauren had been busy kneading Mario's loaves in the kitchen. And if Courtney was going to have a ditzy moment, Lauren needed to have one too.

"Oh look at that," she said. "We have a toaster."

They've had a toaster since Day 1. When Courtney heard she felt a little better about her silly slip-up.

"We're not dumb and dumber," she said. "We're blonde and blonder." Whatever will they  get up to next!

Day 19 round-up: Time for a heated debate

After last night's blow-up housemates awoke to find the two factions – Blonde Ambition and The Reprobates - were stronger than ever making for a fair bit of awkwardness.

Never one to pour oil on troubled waters, Big Brother decided to stir up the House with a task. It was time to hurl the cat among the pigeons and BB sent in some familiar faces to power up a very special panel in Big Brother's Bitchfest. Take a look behind the scenes.

Rylan Clarke did his best Carol Vorderman and was joined by ex-celeb BB housemates Danielle and Sophie to spark up some slanging matches. Topics covered included; 'should an older woman act their age', 'flirting', 'cheating' and 'do celebrities need a talent to justify their fame'? Things got pretty feisty.

Mario, Charlotte and Carol were in an analytical mood post task and had a few words to say about Lauren.

Later housemates were rewarded with pizza and a music but there was a serious lack of party spirit and the first of the gang started to head to bed at 10.30pm! By midnight only Blonde Ambition remained, but they had a new recruit. That's right, Vicky was welcomed into the fold and the threesome enjoyed some slumber party style fun.

With so many housemates having an early night we fully expect them to be on top of their game when they wake up on Day 20.

Tonight on Big Brother's Bit On The Side: 10th September 2013

As we roll closer to the end of the 2013 run, we continue to grab the greatest line-ups to ensure Bit On The Side rocks your world every single evening. So who's in the studio tonight?

It's funny you should ask because we've only gone and got Anne Diamond – Queen of breakfast television – along for the night. Natalie Cassidy will be in the building, playing ping pong backstage then telling us and Emma all her opinions.

On top of that, former BB winner Liam McGough's coming down to Elstree. He likes to talk, that one.

See you at 11pm on Channel 5, CBB fans!
