Day 10: Who boogied their way to victory in Dance Wars?

They came. They danced. But which of our housemates conquered in today's Dance Wars task?

There could only be one man to decide that, of course – the House's very own dance expert, Louie, who took his perch at the judging panel to oversee today's proceedings. The five celebs whose moves moved him the most would seal an exclusive invite to the Ibiza-style nightclub party Big Brother is throwing tonight.

First up were Vicky and Abz, who wowed the audience in their disco themed duel. Vicky was a changed woman once she took to the dancefloor – like Janice Battersby down the Rovers on a Friday night. But unfortunately for her, Louie saw something special in her rival and awarded his first party invite to Abz.

Lauren and Courtney took to the stage next for a break-dancing battle. It was fierce. And despite appreciating that Courtney "may have had some disadvantage" with her "enhancements", Louie announced the American teen victorious.

Mario and Charlotte's hip-hop clash involved more play-fighting than dancing, and Louie criticised Mario for being too unaggressive in the face of a feisty Charlotte. However, the Essex lad eventually came out on top after throwing Charlotte off her scent with a dirty pair of pants. A slick move if ever we saw one.

Bruce raved his way to triumph against a valiant Sophie, working those glowsticks like his heart depended on it.

But it was Dustin and Carol who stole the show with a truly exquisite display of interpretative dance – all the while decked out in sexy spandex suits. With a difficult decision on his hands, Louie eventually chose Carol as the champion, leaving poor Dustin dejected.

Big Brother gave Louie the chance to pick a winning wildcard from the five remaining housemates, and decided on Vicky as his lucky loser.

As a result, Abz, Courtney, Mario, Bruce, Carol and Vicky will join Louie at Big Brother's banging party later this evening. We expect to see their winning moves put to good use.

Ron's first day of freedom

We caught up with last night's evictee, Ron Atkinson, before his appearance on tonight's Big Brother's Bit On The Psych, and had a quick chat about his first day of freedom...

What have you been doing since you left the House?
Erm, last night we had a few glasses of champagne after the show, and a couple of toasted sandwiches. Today, press conferences and a photoshoot, and then got here way too early!

Have you had a chance to catch up with all your family?
Yeah..well, I haven't seen my wife yet, but I've spoken to her. I've just had lunch with some friends who live near here.

More importantly, have you had a chance to catch up on the football?
No! Not yet! Wait, well, I have, yeah. The ones I missed. Yeah.

Is there anything, or anyone, you miss about the House?
No. Hahaha! In a nutshell, nah!

So you're happy to be out?
Yeah, always happy to be out. Anyone who says they're not is kidding people! But it was, erm, yeah, there were some good times.

What was your highlight in the House?
Without a shadow of a doubt, when Bruce had his altercation with the fish! I couldn't stop laughing at that. After that I kept saying there was a new play called The Codfather, and everything had a fish connotation!

Was it Bruce that you got on with most in the House?
Oh, Bruce, he shares my sense of humour. Bruce, Vicky, and I got on with the two kids. Well, three kids, and, well, Abz isn't a kid. I got on well with Abz.

Charlotte and Mario seemed to look up to you, a bit.
They were great kids, I think. Great kids. Charlotte can be...but yeah...she's nice! It was fun. They're both good.

Who do you think will be up for eviction next?
I say Sophie. I've just got a feeling that Sophie is. One or two people have started to, maybe, get a bit frictional with her.

And finally, who do you want to win?
Mario or Abz.

Thanks, Ron!

Ask AJ: Time for a natter with the BBBOTS host

If there's one thing the Digital team likes doing, it's having a good ol' natter with BBBOTS presenter, AJ Odudu. So we took the opportunity inbetween rehearsals to get the lowdown on all things CBB according to AJ. Here is what she had to say...

Last time we caught up with you, you said you were most excited about seeing Lauren in the House. Has she lived up to your expectations?

Lauren has not disappointed me, she's been absolutely brilliant! I loved her outburst at Sophie and the fact that she's stood up for herself. Also, any woman who touches Ron's feet deserves a massive pat on the back. If that doesn't get her in the final, I don't know what will.

Uh, thanks for reminding us of that... Moving swiftly on, have you been surprised by any of the housemates?

I'm really surprised by Mario, he seems like a genuinely nice chap. He's really good at listening to people and he's not too bitchy. Well not bitchy at all really, he just listens to everyone else bitching but he doesn't get involved. He's very clever in that respect.

There seems to be a few interesting relationships developing in the House. Do you have a favourite?

I'm interested in the pairing between Carol and Charlotte. I like the relationship when they're together, and then when Charlotte gets absolutely wasted, Carol says things like "Don't worry about her, she's just a Geordie s**g" and "She's faking it". I'd be interested to see how that progresses and whether she'll say that to Charlotte's face, or whether she just means that in jest. I wonder if Charlotte knew what she says whether she would be so close to Carol.

Now let's talk about the evicted housemates, Danielle and Ron. Do you think the right two went?

Yes. I think the right two have gone. I think Danielle became irritating to the housemates on her last two days and I think she was irritating the public as well.

Ron was too chilled out. He came across really well in the House, but I don't want to see an ex-football pundit sitting down all day. It's not viewing pleasure.

Who do you think will be in the firing line next?

I think Louie because he's made it perfectly clear he doesn't want to be there. And maybe Bruce and Sophie.

And finally, what has been your highlight of the week?

My favourite moment was definitely Reality Bites Back with Lauren Harries, in the diary room, singing her debut single 'I'm all dressed up'. It's the most amazing song ever! I actually want to download it...

There's no need to do that, we've got it right here.

And that's it for this week. For more musings from AJ, make sure to tune in to Big Brother's Bit on the Psych tonight at 11pm on Channel 5.

Day 10 round-up: The housemates dance their way into the weekend

The morning after the eviction night before started with a bump as Sophie and Courtney were punished for their naughty nomination chat. Girls! While they were incarcerated, an air of boredom settled on some of the housemates, with some very interesting results.

Big Brother decided to shake things up, with a dance-tastic task. Louie really got into this, and led the housemates on astrenuous warm-up before the Dance Wars task started and he got to judge their moves.

The lucky winners of the dance off were treated to a fabulous party, while the losers were a little tiny bit bitter...

A few tipples led to a lovely bit of Saturday night chat, and we learned a bit about Mario, and a bit about Manchester.

Today on Big Brother's Bit on the Side: Sunday September 1

It's the penultimate Rylan's Supersized Sunday – can you believe it?!

We've gone all out to make today's show one to remember.

TOWIE star Gemma Collins and Celebrity Big Brother evictee number one Danielle Marr will be injecting some glamour into the panel.  Scott Robinson from 5ive will be joining them to debate all the action from the House.

If that isn't enough, Dream Detective Chris Robinson will be doing what he does best.

Tune into Channel 5 at 12pm for an unmissable show!

MrsH

9.46am: The lights are on! Happy Sunday housemates.

First up....Bruce!

9.57am: Bruce and Charlotte are having a row in the kitchen. He does not like being kept up at night by noisy housemates

10.43am: Charlotte's still complaining about Bruce ("the red-faced man") being moody about her behaviour last night

nomination day as well
