Oh this afternoon there was a commotion in the garden,our resident blackbirds were chattering in alarm,I went to the door to see if it was a cat after them or a magpie.A gorgeous sparrow hawk jumped out of the large hedge in the next garden with a sparrow in its claws,it had killed it quick and was plucking it on the fence.Shame for the sparrow ,but I'd rather see a natural predator take the birds than  fat moggies.A magpie flew down and chased the sparrowhawk,it just zoomed away top speed to a large tree..fantastic!

In the winter I had a Sparrow Hawk in the garden (just outside the window) as I walked over to the window it flew off carrying a BLACKBIRD! - It settled on the lawn Iin the snow) and enjoyed his dinner whilst I looked on in amazement!

Yea Baz and I'm in Glasgow suburbs with a small garden,I see this sparrowhawk fairly regularly.She is atttracted to my garden because of the bird feeders ,she takes advantage of the birds gathering.I knew she was around because last week there was a pile of plucked blue tit feathers on my lawn near the fence.Oh and I still don't like any of them on this show.

Not the country I'm about a mile and half from Glasgow city centre ,a townie.

Gosh...... I've never seen anything like that where I am....... and no, nor do I and I've even gone off the cricketer now...... so I am down to having to have Shelia as my *fav*

I grow berberis shrubs(thorny)and cotoneaster shrubs(dense) near the bird feeders so the wee birds can bolt into them and hide.This time it was an over grown privet hedge next door that the hawk was hunting in,I've seen sparrowhawks land and chase on the ground running toward shrubs etc.

We have a lot of birds in our garden (and feeders), but the largest birds we get are two bloomin great pigeons!

Oh well that was predictable,to be honest Biggins and Sheila annoy me more.

I really dislike Sheila TBH. Biggins is Biggins .......................I guess I've got used to him over the years but .......................I really dislike aggressive, controlling people like Sheila - I guess she may call herself assertive - I'd call her overbearing TBH.

Yea Soozy she really clattered that guy Stuart on the head because he swore.If that was the other way about there would have been uproar.

I saw that clip today, why on earth did she hit him so hard around the head and surely she should have been brought up about it, can you imagine if that had happened on BB

did sheila and biggins vote for paula?  the cricketer seemed to think so because it was paula that went or (as the show states) was it the staff that voted and the "celebs" votes are worthless?

I think the staff decide the final winner Machel.i.e. the two that are left.

Channel 4 at 5pm , just watched it yesterday for the first time.5 celebs go on holiday together , then vote each other out .

Paula was hard work , wasnt she , a kind heart tho ......that Sheila one is hard as nails ....
