Wow, thats really good news!!! Lets hope another channel will take over, surely with ratings like that they would be interested
Not suprsied I was hooked and wanted to keep watching it all last nite!
How ironic it would be if this summer's series yanked in the old 5 milion plus each night. Couldn't think of a more deserving channel to shoot themselves in the foot.
I'd be amazed if another channel doesn't take BB.
Even with the low ratings of last summer, it's still well worth it because in the grand scale of things, the ratings aren't that bad. They are just bad compared to previous series', and I can't imagine that BB costs that much to run compared to other TV shows.

Anyone know old stats? Do more people usually watch CBB than BB? I usually got more interested in CBB simply cos it's shorter and less of a commitment

Me too. I've read on a media journal website that both Five and Sky are sniffing around. Re. the profits, the same website claimed that even with a drop from a high of about 5.5 million each night to 2.5 million (I think it was) it still yielded a 60% profit. If Sky does make a bid, I can see a bidding war between Branson and Murdoch. Either would put more effort into it than C4 have been.Add Reply
