Last night saw 12 celebrities prepare to leave the real world behind for a few weeks as they arrived for the Celebrity Big Brother launch. However it appears that one housemate shouldn't have been in the line-up after failing psychological tests for the show three years ago, according to a TV psychologist.

Taking to Twitter when she saw former model Paula Hamilton make her way down the red carpet towards presenter Brian Dowling, Digital Spy reported TV psychologist Jo Hemmings, tweeting:

"Paula Hamilton - because sending an alcoholic who failed her C4 psych tests three years ago is SUCH a good idea...

"At the risk of sounding like a killjoy, it's a seriously irresponsible decision...".

Believing that Paula, who became the first celebrity to enter the basement last night, won't last long in the compound, Hemmings tweeted: "Disaster for her. I don't think she'll last that long to be fair... But she should not be there in my view", after a fan commented on what would happen if alcohol was present in the house.

Commenting on Jo's comments, a spokesperson for Paula said:

"Paula did fail psychological tests for CBB a few years ago but is in a much better place now and was fully cleared to go into the house last night.”

The TV psychologist also revealed that former X Factor finalist Rylan Clark had auditioned to take part in the normal Big Brother a few years back. She tweeted:

"Rylan failed to get into civvy Big Brother a few years ago - now look at him! I wish him well - he's a thoroughly decent bloke... #cbb"

Whilst I agree with Jo Hemmings, she's hardly in a place to take the high ground.  She vetted and let through enough dodgy ones in her time too.
