I know nothing about betting or odds (making me the perfect contributor to this forum ) but I assumed that Rylan was such a cert to win that the bookies aren't taking any more bets on him, so the odds are on the rest of the HMs. The evitees don't have odds against them, just numbers, which in bookie-speak probably means you can't bet on them.... or something, don't ask me
Just trying to be helpful
On tonight's show we have @westbrookdanni , @liammcgough and the bouffant-clad goddess of our hearts, Julie Goodyear. Be prepared

When there's a strong odds on favourite in an event Slinki sometimes the bookies offer a secondary betting market without the favourite - in this case Rylan - to offer punters a bit of value
There must be an easier way to let people know who is the fav to win and who is the fav to go,without all those numbers that mean nothing to most of us .

If they just have a single number against them it means their odds are to 1.

I don't even understand that
It's all lost on me .

See the bit at the top left, it says SETTINGS FRACTIONAL DECIMAL etc. if you click on the word Decimal the odds will show as things like 1.75 or 2.25, the ones that show as a single figure just now will still show as a single figure. The favourite is the one who's number is closest to zero.

Cheers EFFT but still right over my head.

10 would mean 10 to 1. i.e. place a bet of ÂĢ1 and if you are correct you will win ÂĢ10
10 would mean 10 to 1. i.e. place a bet of ÂĢ1 and if you are correct you will win ÂĢ10
I undersatnd that part but odds like.
7/2
15/8
11/10
I couldn/t work out who is the fav.

It simple erin - it's the lowest number, which is 11/10 above ( or 1.1 in decimal )

Because you put on eleven but they only give you ten back

You would get 11 back( 1.1 times 10 ) if you put 10 on, plus you're original stake of 10 so 21. You always get your original stake back.
So at 10/1 you'd get 100 back for your 10 bet, plus your stake making 110.
At 7/2 you'd get 35 back for your 10, plus your stake of 10 so 45. ( 7/2 equalling 3.5
Click on NEXT EVICTION and DECIMAL and you'll see that Frankie has the lowest number. That means that the bookies think that he is the most likely to be evicted tonight.
With Tricia and Rylan vying to be 2nd favourite to go tonight.
Thankyou Velvet but now I don't know where the 35 came from
I only come across odds when BB is on and usually someone like yourself lets us know who the fav is to stay/go.
I only need a name I have given up on trying to undersand betting.
Off now .
Catch you later erin

Divide the left hand nuber by the righthand number and whoever has the LOWEST result is the favourite.
7/2 = 3.5
15/8 = 1.875
11/10 = 1.1
Therefor 11/10 is the favourite,
15/8 is second favourite
and 7/2 is least favourite, of those three.
At 7/2 you'd get 35 back for your 10, plus your stake of 10 so 45. ( 7/2 equalling 3.5
These odds mean that for every ÂĢ2 you bet you would win ÂĢ7.
Thus if you bet ÂĢ10 (5 x ÂĢ2) you would win ÂĢ35 (5 x ÂĢ7)
And me ............this has been the worst CBB ever for me and it's because of those two .......they haven't entertained me in the slightest. Who knows what the house wold have been like without those 'miserable rain clouds of doom' in there? OK .......maybe it would have been all nicey, nicey (which a lot find boring) - personally I love it - at least there may have been a few laughs.
Then again I'm speaking as someone who really enjoyed BB4 so I'm probably not your average punter
I simply object to people being put in to be horrible and stir things up.
You're not alone Soozy
