I think it's a bit of both. Sandi took to doing the cooking and cleaning because no one else would do it, so she might be bit territorial in the kitchen but I also think it was Sarah and Chad's spiteful way of getting back at Sandi because Sandi challenged Chad about how much food he was eating and the fact he was not considering others where food was concerned. Sarah probably thought how dare you minion!
