Thank goodness for Tiffany Thanks for the company everyone ...we made it through another night

Has anyone heard from Renton ?

I was wondering that too.....anyone heard how his mums doing? I hope all is ok.

Ooh hello - never saw this

Thank you for being so concerned

My mum has become really confused recently and repeating herself constantly.

She began to cry, saying she was scared - I proper broke down and wept.

Mentioned this to the nurses two nights running so they took her off Oxycontin cos a side effect is confusion.

She seems more alert tonight (still forgetful but not as bad) and not repeating as much. The effects may remain in her system for up to 5 days so its going to be monitored.

I'm going to be chatting to the doctors tomorrow

Thank you - I'm hoping this is all it is - and nothing else

But she's been behaving oddly from the first day she went in 5weeks ago. It must be the meds cos all her meds were changed on the day she was admitted and previous to this my Mum was as sharp as a pin.

Sigh - poor soul has suffered enough

I'm sure she will be again Renton ....it's still early days .

Fingers crossed - it could be any one of those meds

Luckily she has moments of clarity in between - I'm terrified losing her to dementia.

I think it's far too sudden for that Renton....dementia ...in the usual sense of the word ....tends to be a slower process ...try not to worry . ...she's been very poorly , and had a big operation ....not easy , even for a younger person ...never mind your mum ,
